expired protein powder

Hi,
I've noticed that my last stock of ON whey protein would expire on July. Although it is still months away, I just want to see if there is anything wrong with expired protein powders. Is it like milk where you really cant drink it anymore? or is it like medicine, that although it is expired is can still be taken and is still potent up to a certain number of months?

You should be able to finish the container off before it expires correct? It won't expire for another 2+ months.
