Everyone over 40 check in please!

I just turned 55 on the sixteenth of March. Been lifting since 1972, when I needed a diversion as a touring musician. Layed off for about five years when I had a girlfriend who thought I was "too much into my body." Discovered HST about three years ago and carry more muscle than I've ever had, with a little extra fat (damn, I hate aging!), now at 5'10" and 220. Ready to try DNP, to take me down to around 200 or so. I also do fast walking around 30 minutes a day ( I have a Jack Russell Terrier, so all we do is fast walking- grin). No steroids, but a little androgel. Tried Clen, but I couldn't handle the blood pressure increase- jumped from 120/75 to 150/90 when I was on it, no thanks.
I like to say I feel like I'm 25, but at 25 I had undiagnosed ADD, and chronic sinus pain. So I guess now I really feel better than at 25!

43 here, lifting for.......ever! I am strong as ever but the body fat is a killer, I need to slim down!..................DIET DIET DIET :artist:

i was sitting on adding my name here as I don't turn 40 until mid-July. But I just completed my 3rd BB competition last weekend and I continue to be in better shape than I've ever been. I'm sort of done w/ BB as a competitive sport because I need to go up 15 lb of muscle if I want to compete at higher than a local level. Just don't care to carry the extra weight around anymore. So now I"m looking at a figure show in late August with a goal of staying smaller, leaner, etc.

Its hard for me to switch up my training because I've always gone for volume - hard & heavy. But workign w/ a different trainer right now who does more training for shaping specifically for competition vs muscle building. I've got 23 yrs of lifting behind me so the muscle mass isnt' so much of an issue. The bodyfat is.

Last week I competed at 139 lb, about 9% bf, tighter & bigger than I've ever been. Today, probably 148 lb and a little watery from post competition eating, but back on the ball next week - still waiting to get my new approach for the new goal.

Here's pix from the competition last week:

I'm not so sure about advertising that I"m 40 because everyone says I look 28, but its my reality and I guess i'm proud to say I'm one of the hot 40 yr olds and I plan to stay that way :) Its sort of nice to have the experience of the age, but the body of someone 15 yrs younger!
