I'll be 47 in December, been lifting weights for 20 years and an athlete all my life. Experiencing some achiness, and it is harder to keep BF down. Also need more recovery time, but other than that I am really strong for my age and look 10 years younger (I am told) :
Hi all. 47 last August so I'm almost middle-aged. Started lifting as a hobby about 21-22 years back but very much on-and-off.
This time around, I've been lifting regularly for 22 months, initially to lose a ton of weight and strengthen my (bad) back. I still push hard at the gym and I'm stronger than I've ever been but joint injuries take longer to heal. At least now I feel I know how to work around them. Had to avoid squats for a long time but started back in on them a few months ago and finally started to deadlift again a couple of weeks ago. I'd forgotten how good that lift feels.
Never done gear but discovered creatine last July. This led to glutamine and then hmb, zma, tribulus and finally prohormones which I started a cycle of this past weekend.
Can't eat what I used to, which is sad at Christmas.
Body Weight 118Kg, BF ~22%
Bench 140Kg
Squat 180Kg
Checkin' in here will be 42 in May. Been lifting for 25 years. Bouncing back from a intense workout is not as quick as it use to be but I got my WO dialed in nowadays.
Watching what I eat alot closer now(brussal sprouts instead of ben & jerry's )
Have always been natual no supps. except multiV. Until now, my fifth week of test-e today feel like I'm 25 at the gym again.
It's great to see so many people my age and above still working out. They'll have to pull a DB from my cold dead hands.................
Hey, just joined Elite a couple of weeks ago and been lurking about. I'm 61 years young. Guess I'm the Old-Man-of-The-Board! Been lifting for about 5 years. Did other exercises before that but wasn't getting anything out of them. Didn't want to end up like a lot of people my age with all kinds of health problems. Trying to get into condition for a BB competition. My personal trainer talked me into it. Life can only get better!
