Even Americas richest men admit tax cut is for rich only

p0ink said:

no. it is about getting back what is YOURS!

did you know, that for every dollar put into the welfare system, only 28 cents go to an actual recipient? the other 72 cents are eaten up by all of the government workers handing out the cash.

Guess what? The GOP hands out welfare to corporations. Have you heard any of the stories about defense contracts handed out during the Reagan years? The Army paying $500 for coffee pots and $1000 toilets? Guess what? That amounts to welfare for us corporations.

What about the Haliburton war rebuilding contract? There was another competitor that said his company could do the job for half of what the Haliburton subsidiary bid. However, they weren't allowed to bid on the job. That amounts to welfare for the rich!

god, you are so gullible and blind it isnt even funny.

how can you, honestly, say that all of this corporate fraud reflects the 'republican agenda', when not only did all of these companies donate more to the democratic party, but the republican 'tax increases' (which werent increases in the first place) closed the loop-holes discovered during these scandals?

LOL

p0ink...you are a young child who never watched the transition of the 70s through 2003.

If I read stuff, I would feel unqualified to insult someone who lived though it. I have degrees in Business and Economics as well as MBA work and time at Merrill Lynch. I have run two small businesses for the past ten years. I know exactly what is going on with the economy.

Are you really qualified to insult or predictably resorting to that which drove me away from you lame selfish fucks.

Damn, that's a bold statement. In truth, nobody can really explain the economy. Have you ever heard two economists that agreed on anything?

I said I understand what is going on. I didn't say anything about explaining it.

"Economics" is a great black hole, an art (at best) that is presented as science.

I tell you....after reading the posts of our Republicans over the past 1 1/2 years, I am truly embarassed to have been one. It is always all about ME.

So how does it feel to no longer think rationally?

The Republican agenda in the real world has been to squeeze the juice out of the unrich and give it to the rich. EX...Executive salaries have grown 400 times while companies keep deciding that massive layoffs are needed.

So your fix for the free market (which we are a facsimile of) would be more government control?

tough shit. if jet blue and southwest can survive then I don't want MY MONEY going to help bloated airlines that can't compete. you don't want to help the poor, I don't want to help corperations.

Poor people are given money. Their is no return.

Corporations are given money. They return with jobs or with profits or they return the money with interest. This isn't always the case and I realize it's way oversimplified, but thier is a benefit to corporate welfare.

The return on poor people getting money is that itis a better alternative than a large class of truly indigent population. Think "opportunity costs".

Not sure about the second patr of your statement. Numerous corporations have received huge sums of government money and have returned none of those things.

Corporate welfare is less efficient than welfare to individuals.

i don't care. I'm allowed to not WANT to give my money to corperations, just like you're allowed to not want to give money to welfare programs. I don't see mom and pop drug and grocery stores getting government handouts to keep them afloat because they can't compete against wallmart and shit. it should be the same with corperations. other companies will take their place, that's how capitalism works..... unless you don't beleive in the free market.
