Even Americas richest men admit tax cut is for rich only

LOL no shit -

Further, I'm surprised people focus so much on welfare... I'm sure like anything there are a number of vivid case studies of welfare abuse, but I just read the other day that the average time spent on welfare is only 4 years...which isnt bad...as well as the fact that welfare accounts for a pretty small fraction of all taxed dollars.

also nobody talks about corporate welfare.

maybe I don't want my money going to some company that can't function on it's own.

it goes both ways.

no shit. if a company goes bankrupt, they obviously weren't doing things right. open the doors and let someone else take over and see what they can do, instead of having the tax payers foot the bill.

and yes, im well aware of the impact 9/11 had on the airline industry, but that is not the only reason for them doing so shitty.

look at south west and jet blue.

And let me guess.. You approve of income redistribution as long as it's to the 'less fortunate'.

Let me educate you. A reduction in one's tax rate does not take any money from anyone - it only allows you to keep more of what you earn.

Also, your % are so off it's pathetic.

Quit looking in other people's pockets and you will have so much more time to devote to earning more.

and using the current recession to redistribute income to the wealthy. And in comparison, leaving a middle class income tax rate still close to 30%, while lowering the richest to 3%. And that it won't boost the economy. We are so fucked.

Airlines get helped out because the industry is a vital part of our economy. I think it's something like 10% of our economy can be traced back to commercial airlines.

I couldnt agree with you more. Poor people need to quit asking for handouts from the rich. No one ever got rich off welfare. You only get rich working your ass off. And i know of plenty of people (white, black, hispanic) that were born into relative poverty and ended up with plenty of money. Not because of any handouts, but because they worked their asses off. Plain and simple.

tough shit. if jet blue and southwest can survive then I don't want MY MONEY going to help bloated airlines that can't compete. you don't want to help the poor, I don't want to help corperations.

it is one thing to bail them out once, but the fact they keep coming back for more, is really starting to piss me off.

if they are doing that poorly, they should be sold off and let someone else try new ideas.

im sick of them just having to ring the bell and take money.

what do you think the 'rich' will do with the money they get back? stuff it under their matress?

i believe that the more people have in their pockets, the more they are likely to spend.

This is where you are disconnected. It;s not all about raw spending.

Do you understand the difference between buying luxury goods (typically high margin) and regular goods (lower margin?)

have you ever shopped without worrying about the price?

Do you understand the difference between getting money into the economy through the supply chain or moving it around between the same corporate owners? that is the difference between how the middle class shops and how rich people shop.

I already posted on it once. Go back and read it before you repeat the same misinformed stuff over and over.
