While I don't think C&C should be like some Parisian parlor 18th century age of Enlightenment style, I just find it hard to believe that there would be a high traffic rate in the 'black pudding forum'...

Undesirable behavior is bad for business. This is the same reason that slender 5'10" + girls model/advertize clothes and not the short stumpy ones even if the clothing is for petites or plus size. Heaven knows you want to sell clothes not turn people off trying to market a a pretty product in an ugly package, so you put its best food forward regardless of reality. (Average height 5'4 average size 14 - not 5'10 size 6)

New people that find the site are not Plat - therefore they are not going to see the plat chat forums that allow some of the "current freedoms"

The other will be a Platinum-Only forum where members will enjoy some of the same freedoms they enjoy here now.

This version of chat will change a lot. Basically we are getting rid of the insults and personal attacks.

What we are noticing is that by catering to a few individuals who get a thrill out of posting insults and making derogative comments, we are chasing away A LOT of people who don't want to participate in a site that has this sort of content.

The number of people who read C&C and decide never to come back, is greater than the ones who actually get enjoyment out of calling each other a "Fag" or "Cunt" just for kicks.

I think EF is moving in the direction of Muscle Media back in the day...I bought three issues after the "Golden Man Cover." I had a subscription before that...

Before the upgrade I saw all the display ads and they were quite vanilla and I was rather shocked to seem paired with EF but if it pays the bills so be it.

Believe what you like but look take a look around - take note of those that never post in chat and those that have left since the Kronk/Sam days.

It's not just chat and the behavior there - it's bad behavior of non members too.
