Sorry i had to post this here as no one replied to my post in the club and nightlife board. So, here's my question:
Can i combine the two? If not, why and if so, will it elevate the effects of the roll?

hmmm. i think one of 2 things can happen.


1. taking the two will prevent serotonin depletion. which means the X experience won't be as good, but your serotonin levels won't deplete as badly.

2. you could get serotonin syndrome, which is an illness that usually lasts a few days.

I am well aware of the possibilites. I was wondering if anyone had knowledge that could point in a particular direction.

One of two things can happen:

1) You have a 'trip' as normal. And you enjoy that trip.

2) You feel nothing at all. There was a study about 3 years ago which discovered that many people on SSRI's (as many as 50%) experienced nothing after taking E. No reasons were given and the research was totally anecdotal. However, I reason that some SSRI's (and SSNRI's like Efexor) increase the reuptake of serotonin but diminish it's release (hence E would have little effect). Then again, the effect (non-effect) could be due to some other cause.

Serotonin syndrome is unlikely - since, the E experience is short-lived. However, if your depression is serious - you would be advised not to take E (or at least use very VERY little). You may delay your recovery from depression. Use 5HTP after your trip to replenish serotonin (5HTP will not undo serotonin receptor damage).

Interestingly, Venlafaxine belongs to the same drug family as MDMA (E). They are both Phenylthylamines. Efexor is obviously more benign. I used Efexor for 3 years. I 'rolled' about 10 times during that time (no more than 2 pills each time). Twice I felt very few effects (this may have been due to some other cause)..... Interestingly, the use of 5HTP before E made the experience much more intense.
