Drug addiction

a few of my good friends are becoming addicted to coke right before my eyes. what makes it weird is that i'm also friends with the kid supplying them. right now he's the only person they know who deals...would it do my friends any good if i made him stop selling to them, or would they just find a sketchier way to get it and put themselves at even more risk?

They'd prolly find someone else to supply. Once you know about coke, it's easy to find the places people do coke and find supply.

it started out monthly for them, then weekly. Now they started taking it with them everywhere, and will dissappear into someone's from for a while during pretty much every party. I used to go to the bar with them all the time but now they just wanna stay indoors and do coke on friday/saturday nights. They try to get it pretty much every single night i hang out with them.

I guess I'm one of the st8test dudes around. I never even knew any drug addicts. I rarely ever drank alcohol and still don't drink much. Seems really stupid to me. I don't understand it at all. Maybe they are that bored with life.

A friend was relating a similar story, his mates got together and paid the local dealer a visit, had a word in his ear. He just bought from someone else but the lengths his friends went to, to try and get him off the dope was enough to make him realize where it was going. This is a guy with amazing discipline and self control but he too fell foul to the slippery slope of addiction.
