Drug addiction

I wasn't trying to make that leap, I didn't know what drugs your friends were into that made you think they were so bad. I thought they just puffed up like you.

Ok, I'll meet you half way. Let's just agree a lot of it has to do with the type of person involved. Perhaps my friends had no self-control or was easily addictive.

You seem successfull even when you used. I probably spend $100 per year on weed, of course I only do it occasionally and can be high all day off of two hits.

I simply noticed that when my old friends started doing coke (and weed and pills) that they were always broke and struggled in life. I simply wanted no part of it. No amount of "talking them out of it" helped unfortunately. The few who used got some of my other friends to start using (coke) and to this day they are in the same boat in life.

I really have no idea what I'm talking about anymore so I'll shut up now. :)

I knew the local dealer who sold some xanies to my little sister once. I went to their house and told them not to ever sell to my family again or that my friend, the county prosecutor, would be getting a call from me.

To my knowledge, they didn't sell to her again.

The problem was your little sister not your local dealer. I hope you slapped her on your way home.

everyone can assume to know what will happen either way with this problem, but people are way too variable in actions and dealers can be ruthless. sure, the dickhead running around in sneakers and ripped pants may be a loser who can be knocked around, but it all goes further up the chain. eventually the head sends you a message.
everyone has to stop believing that the dealer is the only person involved in the money making scheme. its a classic pyramid scam. and the top doesnt like his cashflow being messed with.

My experience isnt with coke but with crystal meth, and that scene is full of people paranoid enough to take people out who threaten their livelihood. they dont understand morality, and have no logic left to think before acting. people go missing every week around here. some past friends just disappeared for owing under 5k for too long. fark that!
