Does getting punched in the face actually hurt?

Never been socked,but have always wondered.
Besides nose shots,does it actually hurt on impact?
Is the pain reason enough not to even fight all together?

no, unless they hit a bony part like your eyeridge or bridge of your nose...then it can sting/smart a little

in general the bit that hurts most is your hands (for me anyway)

I've been nailed by a soccerball in the face and that shocked the fuck out of me,is it anything like that?
Is it really tough aiming for the other guys face when fighting?

No ,i've been hit so hard my jaw was fractured (no broken teeth) that only pissed me off more.
Caught a sucker punch that broke my nose---- Now that really pissed me off!

I layed some serious damage in those two insidents- they now go out of their way when ever they see me.

After working in a neurotrauma ICU, I saw what punches to the head can do...You never wanna take one of these. Your brain is basically jello moving back and forth within a solid hard box, except jello doesn't bleed enough to crush itself. Lots of hematomas/hemorrhages and contusions can arise from just a few blows...can turn ya into a vegetable.
