does anyone listen to house?

So I've been hanging with a younger crowd and I find myself in the kinds of places I would have been 10 years ago. What the hell does a 33 year old do in a club that is laying down house music. I mean I am unable to be on the floor with the 20 year olds and look cool, when I throw down the bank I just look like that dude, if I stand back and chill then I'm not in the scene. Does anyone here pull something like that off? (I mean after all that is where the 21 year old hammers are)

If you're 33, you should be the one producing the music. Buy a mixer and some PA speakers and let's start rocking it brah
 
I can't go and listen to house without dancing. Like mentioned if you feel out of place then find a new place to hang.
 
there's plenty of people that age group (Unless you look old) that listen to house music.

crowd can vary from 22-35 ish


house is good but a little soft for my liking. i prefer trance

best part about anything with an electronica foundation is you can dance and do whatever the fuck you want. the beats are so easy to follow

i dance way better to trance and house than i do hip hop. i'm ok with hip hop but i do the same moves over and over and over again
 
find a club that plays house, dance, techno, trance, city, village, castle, whatever the hell terms they use in marketing shit.

that isn't flooded with 18-21 y/o's. Most are from 21-30, so you'll fit in. Just don't be fat or wear geigh affliction shit. Attractive people are always wanted, regardless of age. If you have money, hitup the velvet rope clubs and flaunt it.

make a long story short dude I envy you... Pittsburgh is a shitty town to try and find a rave or a decent club with "excellent" or even good electronic music.

You are a dude. If you are white then the chicks expect you can't dance anyways so they should just dance for you. If you are a man of color and you can't dance... I can't help you. LOL
 
if you feel out of place you will look out of place. remember, you came to enjoy some house, not impress some little chilrens
 
I listen to house, progressive house, techno on th ipod at the gym, its the only thing that gets me going. If there were a place I could go to listen to it on my nights off, I'd go...for me I wouldn't care if I fit in or not. I'd be there mostly for the music. But then again I look young for my age of 31. Most people, including my 21 year old girlfriend's friends think I'm 24yrs old

I agree I love all that music and hang out at ars that play all off it!! I look alot younger than I am but even if I didn't iy wouldn't matter!!

Well I'm 33,6'5 and in asia so looking young is not happening in that scene. I think some said it best when they said who cares just go for yourself and enjoy. Bottom line is that is sucks getting old, I still love doing the things I did when I was younger but the world would rather have me act old.

i don't get how your height and being in asia have anything with you looking old.

no one knows you're 33. do you DRESS 33? do you take care of yourself?
those are questions you should be asking.

im 29 and do it quite happily

nimbus and calveless gave you solid advice. all i can add is that in the club, there are 2 kinds of people - people who watch the rest of the crowd (90%) and those who are watched (10%). eevrybody wants to be in the 10% - so forget the rest of the crowd is there, do your thing, be assured that youll be observed to be so (and therefore have peopel treat you better) and also, perhaps most importantly, do what 90% of guys in nightclubs dont do - SMILE.

Check out the "WebRadios" section at www.radiofg.com

They have about 6 or so stations. The main channel is simulcast over traditional radio from Paris and the other stations are web-only niche stations. All of them fucking rock! They live up to their slogan, "Les meilleur DJ's sont sur FG."

dude look around a club next time. most guys stand there looking mean, bored, scared, lost or some other crap emotion. look at the guys smiling, and chances are, youll find the guys who are picking up

At no point anywhere did I say anything about lack of pussy. What I said is a simple how do you pull it off smoothly. I think GD has pointed out some good things, kind of what I was looking for.

As for age, I get 27 all the time so I don't look old. However being a foot and a half taller than everybody and a hundred and 40 pounds more than everybody doesn't make you look very young!
