TC2...I don't know if you want to stay in the same field, but if you do, you should not have trouble getting hired somewhere else with your experience. Don't stay somewhere if you hate it, life is too short. good luck

Thanks, I have been thinking the same thing(about life being too short). I've wasted way too much of my youth on this thankless job.

I'm planning to go back to school in april if all goes well. I can't stand working my ass off at a job I hate and then watching these lazy lowlife motherfuckers come in to my store and abuse welfare.

Ah, this thread was created for me. I have the shittiest job here. I'm 2nd asst. manager at a fucking gas station! Let's see.... standing all day, dealing with dipshit customers while being looked down at by most of them! Yay! I don't have a set schedule and rarely have weekends off. I supposedly get 35k a year, but that's gross, and including all benefits. And now the overnight and daily report (start at 5am) shifts will be coming. And I have a college degree. I'm a fucking loser.


...now, anyone dare try to compete with me on this one? Because I can break out the list of reasons I hate my job if I have to.

My job is cool. A bit dull, but still better than anything else I could be doing right now.

My day consists of maybe 30 minutes of actual "work." The rest of my time is spent flirting with girls in my immediate area, or just shooting the shit with my co-workers. I also eat quite a few donuts and occasionally play on the internet.

If I had to do this the rest of my life I'd go insane. This is just a temp thing while I go to shool. Still, it's nice to by getting $16/hr to sit on my ass all day.

My job can be tremendously challenging and rewarding...but mostly it's not...I have VERY little work to do which makes the day draaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag on endlessly.

But I have come to the realization that things are what you make them and if I got off of the damn internet and focused on finding work to fill my day...maybe I would?!?

I hated it until today, They fired the supervisor. Now it is a great place to work. We are a Union Electric Company and now he has to go back to the hall and sign the book, There are about 800 people in front of him. This is what he gets for being an ASSHOLE

Good luck with your school, the only other advice I can give that may be helpful is don't put it off.

I don't necessarily hate my job...............but let's just say if singing was my career, I'd be a hella lot happier................
