hey all, last time i was at the doc i was incredibly sick, scaled in at 175 unable to eat and dehydrated, but within 2 weeks was back to my norm of 185. this was about a month ago, since then ive started some prop and im at 190 :worried: i also know m,y bp will probably be elevated when they take readings, my weight is really gonna fuck me im sure of it, but what are they going to say to me if anything? should i test the waters and maybe tell em straight up? im in USA

My family has a history of high blood pressure, and I've always struggled to keep mine under control. I'm currently on 500mg/week of Test Prop and 400mg/week of EQ. I had a doctor visit a few weeks ago and my BP was normal. Going in 5 lbs over your last visit isn't highly unusual. Water weight alone can fluctuate by several pounds.

Don't worry you are seeing your family doctor?

He could care less what your are doing, don’t tell him anything and he won’t suspect anything, your weight is simply up 5-6 lbs, so what.

Big deal, if you’re BP is elevated, so what, when people get anxious, IE when they go to the doctor their BP goes up.

It is none of his business, so you’re on a little test.

Plus he has an oath and professional obligation to keep his mouth shut.

you would be surprised how little this matters and how quickly a family "Friend" doctor will share such info or even just suspicions.

that being said your weight gain is not that significant, certainly not enough to arouse the kind of suspicions that you are concerned about.

following those reccs above will bring BP down and shed any extra water weight, further eliminating any possible intimation by your doctor.

you would be surprised

Nothing would surprise me, but why would an MD, do anything, unless it was a specific health issue,

First he would speak to the patient,

To contact authorizes on the “suspicion” of gear, is pretty flakey. And impossible to prove.

With evidence, is one thing, but what is in it for the Doctor? How is it to his advantage?

Cause trouble and lose a paying patient?

I was under the impression prop didnt make u hold any water? is this incorrect? im on approx 350-400mg prop e/w armosin at 24mg e/o/d im actually up 15lbs from the last time they weighed me because as i said i was down a lot from being sick

Ever heard of Doctor Patient Rights? A doctor could essentially lose his license if he discloses information to an unauthorized party. Surely, he wouldn't take any initiative to disclose it with someone he isn't supposed to unless he was a flake. An elevated Blood Pressure visit to the Doctors office is very normal. A few pounds gained or lost is also normal. WTF??? are you worried about?

Yes, but if your health insurance pays for the visit, they are authorized to see your medical records. A doctor's note of suspected illegal steroid use can affect your premiums or even whether or not they will cover you for health/life insurance. So deny, deny, deny or pay out of your own pocket.

Let me be sure I have this right: if you pay for the doctor's visit then the records remain private and the insurers only get something along the lines of "sound" or "unsound" and nothng more; if they pay for the checkup that the insurance requires then the law requires that you forfeit all of your medical privacy.

That's crazy.

From what I understand and what my doctor told me, all medical information between doc and patient is always private information, no matter what.

Maybe it is differant state to state, but I know in MN it is that way.

Its not different state to state in the aspect that your insurance company has a right to review your medical records at anytime. You give them that right when you sign up for insurance. You will also likely loose your insurance and be unable to get any other if you have admitted to "illegal drug use" that is administered via a needle , see they get real nervous about any illegal or underground drug that is administered with a needle. Unfortuantly they dont differentiate between friggin herion being mainlined and IM steroid injections. Hell, Red Cross excludes you for life for donating blood if you have ever administered any illegal drug with a needle, including steroids. SO bro, dont take the chance of getting into a pickle with your insurance...reschedule your appointment or keep your usage to yourself.

Seriosly bro, no need to be paranoid. Doctors have a very strict legal code of confidentiality. I told my Dr that I was addicted to the sauce and he said that i was stupid but he was glad I told him. Now he knows what to look for and what potential cause there may be for it, it also rules out things that may be alarming normally like elevated BP or weight gain. If you don't have the type of relationship with your Dr where you can be 100% honest with him/her my advice would be to find a new one.
