Doc Just Told Me My Liver Emzymes Are Way Over Norm.

When I Used To Be A Firemen I Had All My Shots For Hep And Other Needed Bio Prevention Shots Needed. I Used To Be On Rescue And Sometimes Would Be Up To My Elbows In Brains And Blood At A Serious Car Accident If That Helps To Know.

Have you been tested for hepatitis C? There is no vaccine for hep C (only A & B, and healthcare workers usually only get B).

yep came up neg for Hep c! had the test done last week.

2 years ago I had a liver panel test and my enzymes 200+. Also, I had a Ultrasound done as well. I had a fatty liver. They gave me a test for Hep. C and also came back negative.

Recently, I had another done. My enzymes were:

AST 21
ALT 30

All well within normal ranges. The only thing I can actually say I have done different was quit drinking alcohol, not completely. But limit partying hard to once every 3-6 months. Also, I quit drinking "Leaded" soft drinks and went to diet drinks occassionally.

I know the worry you are going through, Hopefully it all works out.

What got me over this whole mess is my levels aren't just a little over they are 5 times over and everything you did I've done the same no soda no drinking nothing! Talk about a lame life !From running in burning building, houses and up to my elbows in brains to sitting at home 24 /7 bored out of my mind!So as you can guess this is hell !

Those LFTs aren't that high at all, relax. your doctor will take of it.

By the way, LFTs won't tell you anything about your renal function.

doc told me it's when they get in the multi-thousands you have major problems(jaundice)

what are your other pain reliever options?

To answer your question one day when I was coming home from work I was in a really bad auto accident .
seems a drunk forgot how to drive and drove in my lane at 45 mph and hit me head on. I was driving a 91 Isuzu Amigo and he was in A 72 Caddy . As for any car guy can tell you that's a "lead sled". His car pushed to engine block of my truck about 5 feet into the driver's seat . It was sitting on top of my right leg and crushed my knee, hip , and made a mess of my back and neck also from the whipping action of impact. So that's the short story of why I'm off the job .And as you know we're covered from the time we leave the fire house till we walk into our front door.So that's why I'm no longer doing what I love anymore.

Those levels are not too dangerously high, although they are a bit alarming. But like previous post from tat you may be affecting it even more by use of the morphine and other meds. If I am not mistaken you claim that you feel fine and no pain?!
I wouldn't worry too much about it until you notice alarming sides along with the high levels. Best of luck to you!

no i still have pain thus is why i'm having surgery this Tuesday to repair it for good!
