Oil changes is the easiest thing you can do for preventive maintenance on your car..

Jack up car, put on jackstands
find oil drain plug, 14mm for most Toyotas, 17mm for most Hondas, loosen completely
let oil drain in oil pan catch
locate obvious oil filter and remove
replace with oil filter with slight grease around the lip of the filter
install
put oil drain plug back in
fill up with oil

thats it.. supplies run about $12/$13 for the oil and filter... and they charge you at least $20 or more...

Speaking of Toyotas, getting to the oil filter is a bitch sometimes!

I twist my arm all different directions going around engine components. Then when I finally get a hand on the filter I can't move my arm enough to rotate it.
lol.

$15 dollar oil change at the local garage. Or if I do it almost 13. Gotta love small towns. Never have and never will tip those monkeys.

figure if you have a nice car like a vette, benz, bimmer, jag... it'll run you about $75-100.....probably getting Mobil 1 Synthetic and OEM oil filter....of course nowadays most of the high end cars have these covers on the whole damn engine that needs to be removed so you can screw around with it...

4runners are a bitch to change the oil filter....figure the Land Cruiser can't be any easier...i'll find out this weekend.
