Just because someone made up some equations that involve time, and then someone else shifted them around to make a totally preposterous statement doesn't mean shit to me.

It has been verified TIME AND TIME again in cyclotrons and...

I ain't talking about life inside a cyclotron, I live one earth if you didn't know, in fact, we all do. So whatever happens inside a cyclotron doesn't mean shit to me either.

me done my physics course a while back, but.... what fonz said made some sense. i once asked the same question to my teacher and i got back a equation etc. like that plus an explanantion. you pit foward that time is something we invented, and as such whether we moved back in time at near light speed, a clock or a hourgalss would keep on ticking/dropping sand. what my teacher told me was the actual process of the ticking would slow. which i though was cool.

but i doubt a human body could survive the experience. bugs on a windshield is what would probably be the result.

oh and can someone actually tell me if an actual phillidelpia experminet happened. did 300 sailors try a new form of spreadable cheese that was so bad they threw up their stomach acid and melted their bodies or something

Every single principle of relativistic mechanics says so.

Sure, you cn SLOW time down for an observer RELATIVE
to YOU.(And vice-versa) but reverse it NEVER.

Have you ever seen einsteins cone?

Time DOES NOT interact with space(x,y,z). It is in essence
out-side of the spatial domain.

why are you stopping at 4 dimensions?
there are a possiblity of N dimensions technically.

just as a person living in 2 couldn't comprehend the 3rd or 4th, we can't with others.

that said, there are some things (such as what fonz refers to) that show that if you remain in the 3rd (which we have to), then you in fact cant go forward to back in time.

and another thing - it pisses me off when these reports come out of some college research team that change the speed of light - it is like what fonz says, only relative, it is still the same speed in the medium they are using to trap it (frequently crystal), it just appears slowed to us.

on the other hand - cool shit - trapping very small things in lasers - that is cool. a laser well much like a gravity well. I like it.
