that's right inky, if your one of the lucky ones who gets a full ride to a D1 or D2 school, odds are against it, but if you are, that's like winning a lottery, but it is a realistic goal for a kid who can play ball to try for a community college team imo....
That's what I tell my son, just try and get to a Jr college, if your good, they will find you, you won't have to find them...
Plus, he's in the 6th grade, he's done exceptionally well in his grades, I tell him that if he keeps the grades at that level, the baseball team won't have to use any of their scholarship dollars for him to play, that would make him even more attractive as a player. So we keep hitting the books as well.

got married at 21 (1991)now 41 with 5 children ages 6 to 17. wife is 40,gorgeous and in great shape (marathon runner. and of course being 40, shes all over me all the time.whew.. as for the kids, and family life...im bushed.period! i love children but they do take all of my energy. i dont look old but i sure feeeel like.
5 kids? Wow. I have one and it's all the stress I can handle. I can tell that I've aged. She is seconds from death every day. I'm amazed at how calm I am when she is literally choking on something or on my way to the emergency room when she drinks a half bottle of cough syrup. It's not until it's over when I realize I'm shaking......
I can't have any more. I value tranquility more than a big family. A big family sounds nice..but not that nice

I have two of my own and one that I took care of when he got too hard for his mom to handle. They are all boys, so the house is rowdy. I can tune them out mostly, but then there is a crash and something breaks and I'm out to whoop some ass. Other times we are all sitting around and talking and I can't stop laughing at the things these boys say. I have to admit, I enjoy the life they bring to my house.
