Do you think having children add years to your life or takes years away?

The first four were done at UCSC, the last year and a half at a private university out of state. It's all a crap shoot. My son is attending a technical school at $28,000 for 51 weeks. Just be sure to look for whatever financial aid you can get. Believe it or not there are some things kids can do academically now at 11 to earn scholarship money.
Kuddos to you for planning his bright future now :)

yeah, I call our baseball practice, "working on tuition"... :-)

He's also in the Jr National Honor Society, I hope he continues to excel, I'd LOVE to have just two years tuition at a Jr college paid for, that would help tremendously on it's own, muchless anything else that he can achieve.

^^^ can you try, I said TRY, to explain this in 50 words or less, written in 5th grade level....

If the truth be known unless you have a full ride somewhere spending 2 years at a jc is not a bad thing. Daughter 2 is finishing the basics at a local jc. The cost saving for those 2 years alone is ten of thousands. Can you say "Batter up"? lol

These were christ's words on the cross - he was asking his heavenly father to end his suffering.

Been awhile since I've been to church so I might be a bit *off*.

But regarding me and how this quote relates to the topic at hand, the fact that I chose to bring any children into this world with the man that I did choose has caused me to suffer in ways that words could not begin to express.

My children have enhanced my life in ways that I couldn't have begun to imagine before I was put onto this path. However, the man those children have tied me to FOREVER... if my exterior would reflect how much I've truly aged - you would see a woman who would rival Methuselah's years.

So I guess I am saying that it isn't my children who have *taken away* from my years but rather the man who sired them. My children have enhanced my life to the point where they have inspired me to live forever.

That was one of the shortest posts I have seen you make.

I think you look hawt, course the Doc's help.

i tend to agree with you. . .when it's easy, i think you tend to take it for granted. . .it's human nature. . .i don't take ANYTHING for granted. . .we started trying to get pregnant when i was around 30. . .we had trouble getting things going. . .our twin girls (in vitro) were born when i was 36. . .my son (au natural. . .congratulations!! now you're fertile!!!) was born 3 days before my 41st birthday. . .without a doubt, the single coolest thing that has EVER happened to me in my entire life. . .i still vividly remember my wife calling me at work and saying "are you sitting down?". . .of course dear, i work at a friggin' computer, what's up??. . ."i think i'm pregnant.". . .get the fuck out!. . .how do you know?. . ."well. . .i took three of those tests and they all say positive.". . .to get that call, like everyone else does was just. . .awesome. . .to get a son on top of it was. . .well. . .there was a hole in my life that i was completely unaware of until he came along and filled it. . .i am TRULY blessed. . .i have more than i ever expected, and more than i deserve. . .life is sweet. . .and continues to get sweeter. :)

Not this is an excellent story and deserves a repost as a quote in my post. LOL.
