Good points gentlemen. The only thing I would add is;
Traps are a pivotal muscle area to develop. Strength and development there will make you more powerful overall.
In the last three months I have really hit the traps hard. 2 and sometimes 3 times a week with dumbells in the seated position. They are growing fast and my bench press and military press have gone up as a result. I first read about working the traps to increase your bench in college but I never took any truth to it. I truly do not believe everything I read. It does infact work.
As far as looking like a silverback. If it will make me stronger, I don't mind looking like an ape. Pass me a banana.....lol
