Do you ever worry about "wearing out" your body due to lifting weights or sports??

Might be the wrong board for this but.

You ever think about it??

I used to be a amateur Boxer when I was younger, I fought in the Police Athletic league for years(no I wasn't a cop, it was for "troubled" youths).

Anyway I've been thinking about how my knees feel like rusty hinges when I 1st get up in the morning(from all the running) and I started noticing(after many comments) that my hands look like they carved outta rock(very bony and hard looking).

I haven't had any pains or problems with my hands, but it just got me to thinking..fuck I hope I'm not going to be all crippled with calcium deposits and arthritis and shit.

BTW..I'm 31.

You ever think that all the years of lifting heavy weights will wear out your tendons and cartilage?

No, I feel better than ever, but I only do one bodypart per week and have for years. Since I quit squatting and doing angled leg presses with 1000 plus pounds, my knees have never felt better. The only problem I have is an injured right bicep tendon from throwing a ten pound bag of wine out of anger.

I worry about wearing my cock out. It gets alot of action.

But it's huge, so I might wear it 'down' but never out.

I'm 31 and I'm falling apart. I've torn cartilage in my left knee 4 times, tore a pec, have an old back injury that haunts me every so often, and I have a tendon in my right bicep ready to snap.

Do you think you did all that from lifting too heavy????

I don't go balls to the wall and lift to crazy failure with heavy heavy weight any more for that reason.

Fucking up and permanently damaging my back or anywhere else just isn't worth it to me.

Plus I just felt bad after those types of workouts, like I put too much stress on my body. Now I just do the basics with fairly heavy weights, enough so that the last rep is difficult but not aneurysm inducing.

I've thought about this too, almost like a car when it breaks down. I feel fine right now, but I do think sometimes in another 10 years(ill be 40) if it will start to go on me
