do you buy bulk ammo or reload?

well? i wouldnt mind reloading, but i dont feel like buying a press...because if i do, i will end up married to it reloading .223. unless, i get a dillon progressive reloader...but i dont feel like dropping some serious $$$

anyone know a good place for buying good bulk/surplus ammo? i picked up 500 rounds of 9mm ammo today for ~$45 (tax included)

I dont reload at this moment. I buy bulk. For handguns, I get my ammo from either TSE in Calgary or just accross the border for some exotic stuff (Cor-Bon, Double Tap or Texas Ammo). I can get Ranger SXT at dealers price but that's still an expensive option...

For my AK-47, I get cheap Norinco FMJ steel-core from Martsar. It's chinese surplus junk but so far, I haven't had a single problem. Same goes with my AR-15, Norinco crap but some WInchester too.

Seriously, Wal-Mart is still your best bet for some cheap practice ammo. Get the Value Packs.

the 9mm was just plain old winchester 9mm luger 115 grain FMJ. should be good for some plinking around.

sorry, but it is just too damn expensive to be plinking with a .45

I buy reloads except for my hand guns. I use high grade hollow points in hand guns. I just like purty bullets. Good ammo shop in Dallas has great deals on reloads.

Been reloading for over 15 years. shoot thousands of rounds per year. I carry factory loads in my daily carry pistol but thats for legal reasons not a lack of trust in my handloads.

I always had good luck at www.cheaperthandirt.com. Our local Wal-Mart can't legally carry handgun ammo. Some bullshit about my city not being able to sell handguns. Funny thing is, there is a gun store less than a block away from the Wal-Mart that sells handguns. That store was grandfathered in though because it was there before they rewrote the city lines.
