Do toilets need to be replaced if...............

Nothing seems to make this flush correctly. I have this thing totally dismantled and have tried more things than I care to admit.

With well water, it is possible that sand is clogging the inlets to the bowl but a pipe cleaner showed them to be clean. Perhaps some type of bacterial build up in the exit? Plunged it aggressively and soaked with lye.....sodiom hydroxide.

Anyone care to shake hands?

if you replace it get an assisted flush. its worth every penny!!!!

LOL. sounds more like a drainage problem.

I had tree roots come all the way up the outside of the pipe, into a lower level bathroom, then go around the flange and start back down... that damn thing never flushed properly before getting that taken care of...

Yes it does, hence the plunging and lye.

I have this thing totally dismantled right now. Was working it over on the front yard. Interesting when it is about 10 degrees....can you say cold hands?

Calcium depots gets built up in the toilets.
You can clean them with Vinegar. But if you have roots you have to have someone to come with a drain machine with a head on it that cuts thru the roots.

is your sewer (drain) line blocked or collapsed? happens a lot down here due to soil subsidence......the sewer line drops down gradually and finally breaks loose then nothing drains properly. it cost me a cool grand to have under the slab plumbing replacement done to fix it...... :(

Well it shouldn't be, climate here is very differnet than New Orleans. No large trees in the area.

The othe toilet works fine so I think it is a toilet problem rather than a drain problem. The pipe is 3" with no goosenecks or traps of any type.
