lol @ "it's made"

you could say the same: Lamborghini is "made" by Audi

and Ferrari is "made" by Fiat

no you couldn't. if you look at a volkswagen passat it is basically the same car as an audi. VW Phaeton = Audi A8

bro, volkswagen owns audi and lamborghini, they are part of the same group.

reason why the engine in the s6, for example is derived from the engine in the Gallardo.

Have you seen, at least in pics, the plant where the Phaeton is built? (glass factory in Dresden).

The Phaeton is a unique car in every aspect

The Volkswagen Phaeton W12 and the Audi A8L 6.0 share the same engine.

Audi A4 and A6, VW Passat Recalled for Fuel Pump Problem

January 27, 2006

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is recalling 74,000 2003 Audi A4, A6 and Volkswagen Passat sports sedans because of a problem with electrical components in the fuel pump.

Vehicles equipped with the 1.8 liter turbo charger, 2.8 liter V6 or 3.0 liter engines may suffer a fuel pump failure than can shut off the fuel supply to the engine.

Dealers will install a new fuel pump free of charge after the recall begins in March of 2006. Owners can contact Volkswagen at 1-800-222-8987 or audi at 1-800-822-2834.

weird how the volkswagen passat and A4 AND A6 have the same problem, maybe because it's the same damn car.

lexus = souped up toyota
infiniti = souped up nissan
accord = souped up honda
audi = souped up vw

Straight from edmunds.com. Only 11 reviews for it and one of them is a 4.6 out of 10.

Vehicle
2007 Audi A6 3.2 quattro 4dr Sedan AWD (3.1L 6cyl 6A)
Review
Since purchase, the car presented steering and eletrical problems. Audi USA claims the vehicle is operating to specs. It drifts left and right. Several alignments and hundreds of dollars later, I just got used to the way it behaves. Electrical problems include warning lights that will not go off. Stereo not working. MMI malfunction. Undercarriage plastic protection ripped off with RAIN WATER. Plastic parts wear off too fast. The AWD feature is very nice and helps with the handling. The interior is very nice. Hopefully Audi will master their product eventually. I will not be a repeat buyer though. Front bumper comes off when parking.
