Sorry dude. I used to dabble. I will say though that you don't need much, contrary to what most people on the anabolic androgenic steroids board will say. Like, 100-150mg of test a week will do wonders, especially while dieting. Maybe not so mcuh when you're 20 though.
But it's hard overcoming the natural decline in the body's own hormone levels while dieting. The best way to do it is try to manipulate your body's own hormonal cycles - short bouts of deiting followed by refeeds (eating at maintenance) so that your levels of test/leptin/t3/etc. don't drop off too much and you don't end up in a starved state. That's my opinion nowadays and the natural guys I train with are trying to work that sort of thing (as am I but, to be honest, I won't make gains anymore unless I were to use AAS, but I'm fine with not growing or getting stronger anymore) - mostly it's diet manipulation which is a pain in the ass.
I've started trying things like sprinting and moving into other areas to keep me interested since I've got no plans to copmpete anymore any time soon - if I were to want to win and compete int eh upper levels I have to use drugs, the more the better, and there is no way around it. Welcome to competitive sports - get near the top and the reality of what distinguishes the top competitors is often a little disappointing. Not totally, but in many ways it very much is.
AAS plays a huge role in the physiques you see on television nowadays. Really, really a predominant role.
