AR has been a known dirt bag around many of the boards for over a year now. I did advise one of your Mods about this some months ago. What he will try to do now is discredit this site & its admin in his site blogs. He still has a few faithful followers who have yet to see the light. Anything with drug like benefits will be banned by the FDA as soon as it hits the market, like ephedra. Once it become recognized as having the potential for weight loss that it did it was pulled by the FDA. Why because if works. And yes anything that really works has the potential for abuse and possible harmful side effects. Ever read the caution label on a bottle of Tylenol? But it's still marketed as safe and effective.

My point is you contribute to the problem when you allow sponsors to prey upon the gullible and ignorant when they knowingly sell supplements that don't work or barely have any benefit. The young people who are just getting into the sport, the excited kids that want to be the next Jay Cutler or Ronnie Coleman willing to eat dog shit if they thought it would grow muscle. These are the victims and supplement companies knowingly deceive and defraud these people out of their hard earned money for the sake of profit are killing our sport. Once people find this out it's like when you're a kid and find out Santa and the Easter Bunny are your parents. They become disheartened and disillusioned and quit.

That is why the sport of bodybuilding has fallen like a stone in popularity since the days of the greats like Arnold, Lou, Frank Z, Colombo, etc. I remember the golden days of bodybuilding but look at it today. I blame most of that on the pervasive bullshit propagated by the supplement companies all for the sake of the almighty buck.

I think you'd be much better off if you allowed true and open conversations on EF about what does and doesn't work from the user's point of view w/o censorship. A place where people can come and truly express their opinions in a democratic forum regardless of their views.

Also only sell advertising to reputable supplement companies. and information providers not snake oil peddlers and bullshit artists. Let EF become THE source for quality information and products of the sport. You have the chance to right a lot of wrongs and make EF THE site to go to for the real deal in bodybuilding.

This is true to a certain extent. However, in all fairness the products sold by PP did exactly what he claimed they would do. Because I was one of the ones who tested it and posted my before and after tests from the lab to show I wasn't just blowing smoke.

Omega has never made any wild or outlandish drug-like claims in refering to his supplements and the effects they produce. These are completely legal supplements that work exactly as they are promoted to do.

You will quickly find out that those people who do resort to hype like this and have subpar deceptive products usually don't last very long around here. Word gets around. That is what this community is for. And while there will always be someone out there that will take something after reading a promising (and misleading) label claim, there isn't really you can do about that. You can't babysit the entire world and protect them from people preying on them. But on here you are given a forum to post your experience and like/dislike with the products you have experience with. Whether good or bad.

Initial thoughts over the “EliteFitness April 14th” letter…

Ok…I’ve decided to go through the EF “news” letter (it’s a sticky at the top of their forums now) one page at a time, after giving you my initial reaction to it. I may also publish some e-mails that “George Spellwin” (Paul) sent to either me, or someone in my company. You can see for yourself what kind of person he is.



I can only assume that he didn’t clear this “news” letter with his lawyer, because it’s very likely the kind of thing that will lose him his entire site (libel).



But first things first, ok? EliteFitness is famous for their cheesy sales letters, right? But this doesn’t seem to be a sales letter, right?



Wrong. It absolutely is.



It’s trying to “sell” you on some lies, some half truths, and some total bullshit.



As an example, you’ll note that the letter claims that we (me and Bri) “sued the EliteFitness.com community”. We sued the owner, frankly. Not the site or the community. We sued the guy (Paul/George) who owns EliteFitness.com…if we’re keeping score here, this is the guy who charges his members to use the search function.



He’s trying to make this issue “Anthony and Brian try to attack the community” but in all honesty, that’s not the case. The fucking guy charges people to use the fucking search function, and he is whining about how we’re suing “the community”…the “community” will not be paying Brian for copyright infringement, Paul will. The “Community” (whatever that is) has nothing to do with this. In fact, Brian runs a fucking steroid site where everything is free (EVEN THE SEARCH FUNCTION). I still talk to a shit load of EF members (and staff members) via e-mail or phone every week. I can’t see how Paul/George is making this a “Me and Brian and Steroid.com” vs/ the members of EliteFitness.com issue. It’s not. The members have nothing to do with Paul/George stealing from me and Brian.

All I’m doing is trying to get the full rights to my fucking books back. Honestly, originally that’s the crux of my lawsuit….just getting my books off that fucking site.

Initially, I thought that the really odd thing was that his lawyer was trying to settle with my lawyer this coming week, and had previously tried to settle with Brian a couple weeks ago. Not the position of someone who believes they are in the right, huh? Also….Anabolic GamePlan has been removed from the EliteFitness.com website…again, not the move of an innocent man. He is trying to sell you on the idea that he’s a victim here, and he really isn’t at all.

Furthermore…Brian is my business partner and a good friend. We’re partners on my first book (I get a royalty and all that), and occasionally I see him at work. Lately I don’t see him at all most days. We have 2 totally separate facilities here (an office, and a television studio/editing room), and often he or I are at one of them and the other is doing something else at the second location. Sometimes I work from home too, as does he.

But regarding our actual offices, you can go to either of those locations, any time. EliteFitness.com on the other hand does not operate an office you can actually visit, nor anything resembling a public business. It’s totally closed. Someone hiding something….? Need I mention that although the newsletter features pictures of both myself and Brian, none have ever been published of Paul/George. Again, who is hiding something?



Next…my monthly salary comes from Dynamic Sports Nutrition. I don’t own or get paid by RoidStore. I don’t get paid from SteroidCleanse either, nor Probodybuildingdvds.com. I get paid by Dynamic Sports Nutrition (that’s what my check says each month), and as I understand it, that company owns Steroid.com (and Brian owns that company). And my title here is Senior Editor of Steroid.com.



My checks come from Jen (she hands them to me every other week), who works an office away from mine, and they’re signed (not a real signature) by Brian. They say “Dynamic Sports Nutrition” on them.



However, I don’t see anything different with “Deca 200” (RoidStore) and “Halodrol” (Gaspari). Both have “steroid-like” names and pharmaceutically inspired appearances. I don’t know (care) what is in either of them, honestly, because I don’t take either product. However, one of those companies (Gaspari) features pictures of people who use steroids to attain their physiques while selling their products. And I couldn’t care less. My products (MyoGenX, Nico-Lean, CyoGenX, 2perdrol) don’t look like steroids and don’t sound like steroids (except maybe “2perdrol” which has a fucking NUMBER in the name, and is obviously not made to look like steroids). So although I do not engage in this type of advertising personally, I don’t give a fuck if other people do.



You know what else? Brian likes strip joints and I can’t stand them, and I like punk rock and he can’t stand it. I’m covered in piercings and tats and he has none. We’re good friends and very different. He’s a very good businessman and I’m a retard when it comes to that stuff.



That being said, although it’s not my favorite fat burner in the world, I happen to use the RoidStore “Clen”. Author L. Rea has been too lazy to send me some more Venom. As for Gaspari Nutrition, I met Ms. Gaspari last weekend and she was super cool to me, and I like her a lot.



Also….I don’t know why the EF letter keeps saying that “Anthony and Brian” tried to do this or that. There is no “Anthony and Brian” in terms of this legal stuff. I have a lawyer working for me on this issue concerning Paul/Elite (i.e. in New Jersey with a New Jersey lawyer), and Brian has a lawsuit here in Texas through his own people. Totally separate issues, and separate people working on them. I just wanted my fucking books (Beyond and Jekyll) off that site.

I don’t know why they keep saying the “Plaintiffs” are “Brian and Anthony”…Brian’s lawyers have nothing to do with me and my case at all. Honestly, I personally don’t have anything do do with Bri’s lawyers unless they need something from me or need me to find something out for them.



Anyway…those are my first impressions…I’ll tear the thing apart piece by piece and post all of Paul/Georges e-mails to me if I think it’s appropriate too.

This is true to a certain extent. However, in all fairness the products sold by PP did exactly what he claimed they would do. Because I was one of the ones who tested it and posted my before and after tests from the lab to show I wasn't just blowing smoke.

Omega has never made any wild or outlandish drug-like claims in refering to his supplements and the effects they produce. These are completely legal supplements that work exactly as they are promoted to do.

You will quickly find out that those people who do resort to hype like this and have subpar deceptive products usually don't last very long around here. Word gets around. That is what this community is for. And while there will always be someone out there that will take something after reading a promising (and misleading) label claim, there isn't really you can do about that. You can't babysit the entire world and protect them from people preying on them. But on here you are given a forum to post your experience and like/dislike with the products you have experience with. Whether good or bad.

No you can't protect a fool and his money but in this situation you could have protected the EF community from those deceptions and IMO should have by not allowing those ads to begin with. Any threads that have anything negative about a board sponsor is usually strongly monitored here and if a mod doesn't like what you have to say about a sponsor or sponsored product the thread is either closed or yanked. If that happens then where do the uninformed go to get information to make a decision? I guess other boards with competing products and similar rules. It's the old stone walling. Monkey hear no evil, speak no evil and see no evil. All the while killing the goose that lays the golden eggs as I referenced before.

I think GS has already expressed regret over the contract situation that required running the ad's. And threads about roid-store products werent just summarily deleted - GS has links to a few examples of anti- roid store threads in his PM. Many were moved to the SUPPLEMENT forum.

as far as the current situation, we allow civil discussion positive and negative about sponsor products -- hell even the mods get into disagreements with them over ingredients or applicability etc. as long as its not a flame fest, a fact based discussion wont be shut down --

To each his own. I support this site and the "community" we created. Scammers are tracked down and banned, there's very little bickering or flaming (anymore), and many of the big dogs on the porch are quick to help someone who is in need of help or guidance.
When someone post a ridiculous suggestion, or a harmful suggestion, someone with vast knowledge is quick to extinguish the problem. I don't know AR, but I know EF, and I know the majority of the folks in this forum (community) are good to go.

People make bad deals then allow emotion and ego to come into play. I think a lot of what is going down here is nothing more than that. I spoke to both Rick and Anthony and heard both sides and wished that they could settle the differences without making a mess but it was too late. Personally, from what I know of AR I liked but I also told him I felt he didn't go about relinquishing some business dealings with George in the best way, but that's his call (who really knows the whole story?) and now they have this shit that they're going to have to work out and I hope it works out best for everyone.

A similar thing happened when I worked for T-Nation. Communications broke down and it became an ugly "I said/you said" argument and those who left and those who stayed became estranged and in the end, what's the difference? People go their separate ways and everybody lives.

Having said that, I think we can all agree that the Roid Store is beyond defense. They represent everything that is sleazy about the supplement business and they make it harder for honest supplement people who sell good products. Once they were gone, EF was a better place and we can all be proud that the sponsors are good bros with good products. AR has said he has no affiliation with the Roid Store other than knowing the owner. Props to George for owning up to the misjudgment of having them here at all. Bottom line. They're gone and they're a non issue now.


Other than that, there's nothing for the members to do, nor need to do. Every form of government/community needs refining and at times that means cleaning house. That's what happening when AF was given their walking papers and we were all the better for it. That's what's happening here and now and we'll be better still.

As the Buddah said; Beware of any words that don't coicide with your own sense of logic...even these. " We need to stay aware, but we're in an excellent place right now. EF will survive and continue to thrive and everyone affiliated with it will benefit from what it has to offer.

Nelson, One point I'd like to make it when someone makes a product like the Roid Store products no one should be surprised when they act like idiots.

That's not true. I've been here a short while, I'm non plat and I have found that these guys treat me just as well as any other. Lots of the plats have been here a long while and are good friends on the site, so maybe there's not the same level of friendship, but nobody will look down on you unless you are an ass, an idiot, or break the rules. There are still some things at EF that I honestly do not like, like having to pay to use the search button via Platinum Membership.

That is a good point about the search. The site's database is too large to use the build-in search and keep it free - it brings the forums to a crawl. We did have the free search powered by google for a number of years and that was a good solution until Google pulled it off our site because of the nature of some of the forums. I will get back to work looking for a free solution. Suggestions are welcome.

Its all drama that if it can not be resolved between the two sides needs to go to court to get someone to resolve for them.

There are always two sides to every story and sure Antony, Brian and whoever else is involved have their side as well as this side. Who is right or wrong is for the attourney to resolve.

IMHO i would let George and his team resolve it direct and all the drama should be kept away from the boards. If it can be resolved - great if not then let the lawyers resolve for you. Then when the result has been obtained and no more appeals then announce.

Until then let them get on with Steroid.com and Elitefitness get on with their business.

There is no benefit doing all the dirty washing in public as it serves no use or benefit as you will always get people that see the opposite.

This is a matter for behind closed doors IMHO and should not effect the business of Elitefitness.com or steroid.com until resolved

In an ideal world, I agree with you 100%. Let the lawyers work it out and not discuss it openly.

The problem is the cost of resolving the situation (legal fees) can literally cost in the hundreds of thousands of dollars.

We kept quiet and negotiated in good faith while Anthony blogged about the settlement discussions, but when they refused to settle for anthing less than $180,000 in advertising plus cash, we had to let our community know what we are up against.

All this over a book I did not write.

I think the site is great, but I will admit that if anyone ever says anything negative about any sponsors, it seems to be quickly deleted, locked, or the person given a "time out" and told not to speak down about sponsors. If you call in to question any sponsors credibility, threats come quickly, and you would think that wanting to learn the truth behind the people that help this board run, especially after the roid store incident, would be understood and we the members should be allowed to ask about our sponsors.

I have questioned a sponsor before due to some things I had read in other places and I was given the night off and was told "I had no right and this was no place to question a sponsor".

George you had to know what a lowlife AR was before you hooked up with the Hooker. He had already shit on a lot of other people in the business before he came to you. You had to know his reputation before hand. So when you lie down with dogs don't complain when you get fleas. You let the devil in your house now you're stuck with exorcising his demons.

He is one of the reasons and shit bags like him why I have not gone Platinum on this board and probably won't unless all of the bullshit ads and bullshit product pitches disappear. It's called integrity. I understand it takes money to run the site but selling out isn't the right thing to do. To deliberately tout products that have marginal benefits if any is one of the reasons this sport keeps killing the goose that lays the golden eggs.

What I mean is when you sell supplements and hawk them as the greatest this or that and with drug like benefits you know that's not true. Anything with drug like benefits will be banned by the FDA as soon as it hits the market, like ephedra. Once it become recognized as having the potential for weight loss that it did it was pulled by the FDA. Why because if works. And yes anything that really works has the potential for abuse and possible harmful side effects. Ever read the caution label on a bottle of Tylenol? But it's still marketed as safe and effective.

My point is you contribute to the problem when you allow sponsors to prey upon the gullible and ignorant when they knowingly sell supplements that don't work or barely have any benefit. The young people who are just getting into the sport, the excited kids that want to be the next Jay Cutler or Ronnie Coleman willing to eat dog shit if they thought it would grow muscle. These are the victims and supplement companies knowingly deceive and defraud these people out of their hard earned money for the sake of profit are killing our sport. Once people find this out it's like when you're a kid and find out Santa and the Easter Bunny are your parents. They become disheartened and disillusioned and quit.

That is why the sport of bodybuilding has fallen like a stone in popularity since the days of the greats like Arnold, Lou, Frank Z, Colombo, etc. I remember the golden days of bodybuilding but look at it today. I blame most of that on the pervasive bullshit propagated by the supplement companies all for the sake of the almighty buck.

I think you'd be much better off if you allowed true and open conversations on EF about what does and doesn't work from the user's point of view w/o censorship. A place where people can come and truly express their opinions in a democratic forum regardless of their views.

Also only sell advertising to reputable supplement companies. and information providers not snake oil peddlers and bullshit artists. Let EF become THE source for quality information and products of the sport. You have the chance to right a lot of wrongs and make EF THE site to go to for the real deal in bodybuilding.

You and EF are at a cross road. If you use this unfortunate situation as an opportunity to clean things up here at EF you will benefit in the long run otherwise I think EF will be just another bodybuilding site.

You can't overlook the plain fact that the breakdown of nutrients and food can be verified through factual charts. If there is a recipe in his book that exceeds or not the nutrient composition of what is established by science (carb = 4 grams, protein = 4 grams, fat = 9 grams) then your statement would be relevant.

Having said that, I think we can all agree that the Roid Store is beyond defense. They represent everything that is sleazy about the supplement business and they make it harder for honest supplement people who sell good products. Once they were gone, EF was a better place and we can all be proud that the sponsors are good bros with good products. AR has said he has no affiliation with the Roid Store other than knowing the owner. Props to George for owning up to the misjudgment of having them here at all. Bottom line. They're gone and they're a non issue now.

The issue I have is that Brian and Anthony run Steroid.com, an EF style site that pretends to support and educate the bodybuilding community, but at the same time it is really around to cheat its members into buying the fake steroids that they sell at their sister site, the RoidStore.com. A site like steroid.com costs a lot to run and either you sell supplements, or drugs, or fake steroids, or Karma and Platinum Memberships, but you have to sell something to stay online. I just find what RoidStore and therefore what steroid.com pushes to be particularly offensive.

The thought of their winning the lawsuit has ignited a fantasy where they believe I will be unable to afford my lawyers and my site would somehow be turned over to them. Brian and Anthony would not budge from their position of demanding $180,000 in advertising plus a cash payment too.

On the question of the book not being hosted here -- we try to give the guy what he said he wants, and he says that means we're "feeling guilty"!?

We suspended sales right away when we got served to show that if an alleged copying really took place, we were not trying to maliciously make a profit from it. But, to date, they have refused to tell us in writing what they claim the author copied.

I thought we were negotiating in good faith and so of course we stopped selling the work in question while we tried to work something out with them. I think the book is great and it is a shame that it is not being sold at this time.
