Dips,Incline Bench and standing press 2x/week too much?

It really depends how you set it up. I would say that a 3x5 on inclines should be fine if you do it once. Are you doing all the lifts that you mentioned twice week? If so, that may be to much. What kind of other chest work are you doing?

Is doing dips, standing press and inclines 2x per week too much? I already do standing press for 3x5 and dips for 3x6 twice a week but I want to add inclines because my upper chest is looking undeveloped. If adding inclines is OK how many sets should I do, and should I cut any off the dips and presses? Thanks

Hmm... it is ok to hit a lagging body part 2x a week, but when you do, try not to devastate it both days of the week... one of your workouts should be lighter and the first should be heavier...

Also, I'm not sure I would ALWAYS work it 2x a week... perhaps every other week hitting it 2x... it is just something I would consider...

As for your other exercises... I'd have to see what your entire workout plan looked like to tell you if it was too much or too little... I mean, if all you are doing is SP and Dips 2x a week... that's too little lol -- but I think you are doing more stuff... just not listing it. :)

Rus and Citrus, yea i'm doing dips and standing press twice a week. the rest of my routine is chins, barbell rows, squats, barbell shrugs, barbell curls, crunches and single leg calf raises2x a week, and stiff legged deadlifts once a week. Only chest work would be the dips. If you guys see anything wrong with this routine please let me know as well. Thanks for your help

If you want to hit more chest development, you are going to have to do more work for your chest... the other movements you are doing, will help you increase size on a whole, but will not necessiarly hit lagging parts such as the chest...

Perhaps, hit Incline press or Flat press instead of dips? Also, something to consider is doing pushups at 3 sets of X amount (whatever you can do... 20? 50?) everyday of the week, except on days you do chest... it will give your chest a somewhat constant pump... which I have noticed (with my tris) helps the muscles to grow a bit.

List you entire routine with what days you do what lifts and sets and reps too. It will be easier to analyze your routine this way.

OK,
Mondays and Thursdays
Squats- 3x5
standing press-3x5
chins palms facing body fairly close grip-3x5
dips-3x6
barbell rows/overhand wide grip to sternum-3x8
stiff legged deadlift/ thurdays only -3x6
standing shrugs-3x8
crunches-3x10
barbell curls-3x5
single leg calf raises 3x8 each leg or 1x 15

You are doing way to much stuff in one day. This could work at a lower volume such as is done in HST. If I were you I would split things up and into 2 seperate days, thus having 4 training days a week. That way you could add some other things in too such as deadlifts and other chest work. You may even want to do a 4 day routine where you work each muscle directly only once. Since you are only training twice a week, I don't think that it will cause you to overtrain, but I do not think that it optimal either.
