I can appreciate that people know how to raise their kids, but what is this saying about current societal norms? I wonder how often this was done back in the day.

I rarely see kids misbehaving at a restaurant to the point they disrupt other people.

Giving a discount seems weird for their guests not having crazy children.

I think our parents did it right. If we were in public and adults were talking I knew to keep my pie hole shut. My dad could give one look and every kid at the table would STFU.
