Damn, KG to Classlesstown

As a born and bred Celtics fan (who stopped caring about the NBA when real basketball died years ago), this is pretty cool (sad to see my boy Ryan G go though).

And it's also a sad statement on the state of professional basketball when this deal pretty much automatically means the Celts will be in the Finals. Shit, the Cavs made it with only ONE player.

Like I said, I stopped caring about the NBA years and years ago. This boring, watered down version of basketball is just cheesy. I'm thankful that I got to grow up watching some of the greatest basketball ever (Magic, Bird, Chief, Isaiah, Jordan, etc., etc.).

the celtics ain't doing shit. yeah, they have 3 awesome players right now...but they have no depth right now, whatsoever. Their window to win is very very short. if they don't do it this year or the next they sacrificed their future for absolutely nothing.

ray allen's ankles are about to give anytime...and KG is not getting any younger. Al jefferson is going to be a fuckin stud, and that cap space for theo's contract could have been huge next year for a free agent signing. they're also trading gerald green, who isn't even old enough to be a real NBA player yet. he's got great raw skills, if he grows up he'll be good

Agree that they have a small window, but that's what you gotta play for in the NBA and in a big market. Right now, with PP and KG (who gives a shit about Ray Allen even), they are top 2 in the East. Only team that can compare is the Heat, but Shaq is DONE. Pistons are a threat but seemed to lose their magic last year.

the billups/hamilton backcourt with tay and wallace is a formidable force
weber is a non factor
and look for maxiell and amir to step it up
no team is gonna want to face them in the playoffs
pistons guranteed a e.c.f appearance, can't say that about any other team
