i dont know how th ewhole of europe does it sometimes. my mates just came back from greece and were paying 50 euro to get into a nightclub, then another 10 or so euro per drink. i swear there must be an entire generation over there working solely for the weekend...

You hit that right on the head. There isn't a restaurant in town here that requires a rez for anynights except friday and saturday. One of the main reasons I gave up on the restaurant buiz here, it's hard to make a private restaurant work anywhere, but two nights a week is too much panic for me.
