Cork Flooring

Let's look at it this way

a leopard may not be able to change his spots, but he sure can climb a different tree every now and then.

Hmmm....Are we back talking about bamboo trees or sex now? (snort-snort)

Hey, I gotta be clear on this.....:)

Was just at my favorite tile store, and was accosted by Bobby Van Pushysalesprick.
you musta not been in Home Depot!!

how warm/damp is ur kitchen...

i've never seen cork flooring but have seen tiles of the stuff and they go to shit if u dont treat them right

Some cork flooring is VERY expensive and looks beautiful once it's in. My bf was building a $1.5 millhouse last year and that's what the homeowner opted to install through most of it.

Do NOT put cork in the kitchen.. That is just a waste you will regret down the road.. The new thing is to have hardwood floor.. If you don't want to spend money get the Pergo floor.. Plus it resists dents stains stratches..

A nice option for wood flooring if you can get it is mirage. It's a veneer but the veneer is thick enough to be able to do 3 sandings. And under the veneer the wood is treated and thus doesn't swell or warp as much as natural wood.

installing that stuff based on the need to stop your kids breaking a mug or 2 is probably a bad idea

on the upside you can cut your veggies on the floor..

Actually its expensive! like $95 a square meter (not expensive for tile, but seems expensive for cork)

Its more for my comfort while spending long hours playing in the room I love the most, than it is for kid control.

Will get home ref.s from the store in terms of gen contractors that use the stuff. If they cant, then I wont.
