Columbus,Ohio--HELP--planning a trip for Arnold in March

umm...its the south and east side...west side (north of rte 70 is good areas like hilliard and dublin) if possibel stay from above 70 on west side and east of rte 315...i'm always drivin that area and its fine..and i live in hilliard which is a 10 minute drive to the convention center and all...some parts of east and south are ok too. just depends how far in what direction you are heading...let me know what area (street) and i'll try and guide yah

I am looking at a hotel in City Center near the mall. It's supposed to be 1 mile from the convention center.

I was there last year (awesome time) and stayed about 5-10 mins down the highway from Columbus. It was a great hotel (Holiday Inn or a Days Inn?). We had no problem getting a room withoug a reservation and it was an easy 10-15 min drive to the conventinon center. Look to stay outside the city, you may even get a better rate.

City Center is fine, you'll be cool there, pretty upscale. Unlike many big cities, immediate downtown is fine.

Just stay away from the Ohio State campus area, you may come away with an inflated ego, and very little education to boot.

Hotels are filling up FAST !!! I need to know is there a part of town NOT to stay in? Don't mind staying in a half-ass hotel (won't be there much anyways). But don't want to stay in the wrong part of town.

Currently looking at a hotel in City Center near the mall. Is this good or bad?

Just checking it. Since the damn IFBB decided to axe the promoters of the GNC show. Go to go to the Arnold. Olympia is just way overpriced for my taste. Fuck we don't even have a pro show in the south anymore.
