I went to The University of Alabama and never really noticed a lot of divershitty indoctrination. We all got along just fine. Nobody gave a shit about race. And this is in good ol' racist Alabama.
Most of the student issues and protests revolved around greek organizations (student population is nearly 40% there) or the SGA being corrupt. To be honest, I wish there would have been a panhellenic holocaust at my school to get rid of them.

University of alabama is the heart of dixie, of course you arent going to have any diversity indoctrination.
All the diversity indoctrination stuff happens in the more liberal universities and parts of the country like the west coast, northeast regions.

The majority of professors were Democrats...
Theres a difference between a dixie dem and a northeastern big city dem.

Its still regional, if you go to the typical northeast or california universities there are plenty of diversity intiatives. Any liberal dem profesor not from alabama is not going to try to move to alabama to teach at a "racist redneck place" (in their mind). So even though there are professors not born and raised in the south teaching at alabama, they are of at least like minded enough to know they are in a very conservative place and will act accordingly. It just make sense in a "when in rome" sort of way.
it did seem kind of a slapdick place. Of course most any uni in Minn. is going to be par for the course in diversity indoctrination.
I have to be honest...I went to UConn and didn't see crap for diversity initiatives...maybe I didn't pay attention???
and as far as redneck south...yeah...my brother in law went to Western KY and I really cringed at his professors and often his curriculum (seriously stuff I did in high school)..so yeah, I can't see a professor from say here going there to teach...but until you mentioned it I would think mainly because of $$$$$$$ and standard of living.

I dont agree it's bullshit but as mentioned it's not for anyone, personally I am a bit confused on how it work here in the US, lets psychology for example it seems that to be a licensed practitioner in ANY state you have to have a PhD, so what do bachelors and Masters do?

but jeez you cant get debt from graduate school, then masters AND a PhD, how the hell can a Master not practice?

I loved university. I took a B.A., and I'd go back for my masters if money were no object. I refuse to take out another loan. I paid off my first ($21, 000), and I don't want any debt whatsoever hanging over my head.
I really liked how there is just so much information and knowledge for the taking, and so many different theories and ways of understanding things.
I don't think I had any bad professors. They were all different, but none of them tried to make me into anything but a critical thinker.
Of course most of my classes were in the arts- in English Literature, Critical Theory, Art History, Philosophy, Music, Spanish, Psychology, Criminology, Greek Mythology etc.

I'm still debating whether or not to pursue a free MBA at a local state uni. Many degrees have become so overvalued and diluted compared to my parent's age that I don't even know if some of these degrees are worth the opportunity cost.
Actualy, I got pissed with the whole thing yesterday and it seems they can be mental health techs, social workers, case workers and others, I started looking for those jobs and I do indeed meet the criteria now that I know what to look forThey do the same thing that bachelor's and master's in philosophy or history or women's studies or english lit or polisci do, or course.

If you can work a real job and get the MBA it might be worthwhile if you like to take classes....otherwise...you're better off starting a business followed by working in your career field.
In my field, an MBA in ISOM is worth less than an MS in CS (electrical engineering program).

Yes you can, when I was in law school the average law student graduated with 50k in debt, my ex-wife accumulated some in her MBA program until she realized all her foreign classmates were getting fee waivers..waivers...she sat in the chairs office and refused to leave until she got one. This is a public university giving free education to every foreign student subsidized by US taxpayers...their rationale was their siblings would then attend the university and pay the higher fees...never worked out that way.

To give some diversity perspective...
In the 1990's my liberal arts degree required two non-Euro focused history classes for "diversity."
These days there is an additional requirement for diversity in America.
Not that its necessarily a bad thing...just when students can't question the orthodoxy with intelligent arguments... but that goes for every class.
