CO Blizzard 2006

I hope you like your wings hot! If they don't make you sweat, they aren't hot enough... Maybe that's just me. :p

When I moved here, boarding in the Rockies was like learning all over again, but you learn fast... When it takes 45 minutes to go down one run, you can't help but to learn quickly. And you don't have to hit the double-blacks to get a taste of some good powder. I've hit knee deep powder on the blues and even some of the greens, you just gotta know where to go. I'm in the mountains boarding just about every weekend, so I know all the fun spots.

Sounds soooo cool........you go out in the backcountry ever?? Take your shovel, rope, beacon, probe, etc etc & watch for tree wells!

I've been tempted, but never have. It is so funny going over mountain passes here, because all along the roads, there are backcountry skiiers/boarders hitchhiking from the bottom to get a ride back to the top for another run. People in trucks just let them climb in back and ride up to the top of the pass with them. I love it how cool people are about that stuff here. It is almost just expected.

Man i got lucky, I headed to DIA @ 4:30 AM yesterday, flight was a 7:30, was delayed an hour but made it off. That would have sucked donkey balls to be stuck @ DIA all night, and i heard some people were stuck on the runway for 5 hours! i would have gone berzeerk

Colorado made the news down here, I got to see how bad it was that you were talking about. Looks terribly cold and miserable.

Nah... I love the snow. It's fun to play in.

It may be on the weekends but what about dealing with it all week long? That has to suck! My dad was in the service when I was younger (much) and we lived in South Dakota for a spell and I remember making snowmen and getting in trouble for sucking on the icicles that formed around the house. Now that I think about...eww yucky!

I've never skiied out west - never thought I was good enough to be able to, but I'd like to try someday......And you're on!

You need to hit Utah. Champagne powder.

Awesome Pics B..

Our Denver Data Center and Call center facilities pretty much shut down yesterday
with people not being able to come and go. Many slept there overnight.

I'mmm Dreamin of a White Christmas...

Wow!! I didn't realize you posted the pictures so I had to go back and find them.......Wow! That is really something. Like I said I remember snow a little from when I was a kid but only having fun. My mom being from down here told me a story of trying to run out to the mailbox barefoot and her (I am chuckling remembering the story) feet bout stuck to the concret, needless to say she had to of had raw feet for a while. We can do that here almost year round. :worried: I'll have to try and visit someplace on year when its snowing...I have to get a nice cabin because I doubt I'll be able to driving in it!!.
Hell, I have a 5 speed and I had the hardest time trying up in the mountians in Tennesee...I didn't want to burn up my brakes like so many others I had smelt coming down. :roadster:
