you focus on keeping them close to your torso instead of letting them flare wide, which brings more shoulder into the movement
 
I try to go just inside my shoulders. That way and I can keep my elbows tucked in for maximal power, while minimizing chest recruitment.
 
I was doin these yesterday, sets of 5 with 225. That shit was hurting my wrists real bad. I had to drop the weight. Pissed me off ...

I have VERY wide shoulders and long arms...and I have done them where I could touch my thumbs together before...

Go as close as you can while maintaining good form and not hurting yourself...
