This chick is on this "Sweet 16" thing on MTV and calls herself "Empress Chelsi" and says, "I don't wave at people. People wave to me." Plus, what is wrong with her parents that they can't just spell "Chelsea" the normal way? Oh, she is so special now that her name is spelled incorrectly. God forbid you do anything the normal way.

I have friends down in Charleston, and their parents are pretty well off. When they were teens their father made them work on shrimp boats, and the docks where the boats came in, they never worked in an office. Even his daughter worked on the dock cleaning up. He wanted them to see how he made his money, and make sure they understood that everything they got was earned.

That is a good daddy! I've had to go to bed without supper many times when I was little. It makes you appreciate every night that you sit down and eat dinner, etc. He is making their lives much happier by giving them perspective.

I've watched that show a few times and it makes me almost as mad as I get when watching the Trinity Broadcast Network.

Are they really? I had a couple of neighbors when I lived in Louisville who had to bring their kids Christmas presents in on a moving van...lol. Still, it was nothing like what I see on this TV show. I would think that you would have to be pulling down more than 10 Mil to spend that freely. We are comfortable, but there is no way we could drop a mil on a birthday party or some of the other stuff.

Incidentally, my step daughters did see this show and asked for this type of party and Dan laughed his ass off at them....lol.

There are spoiled rotten, disrespectfull and unappreciatative children is all eco ranges - the stupid rich ones are the only ones that get noticed because they have the most toys as it were.

haha i saw that episode this morning. that dress was heinous, i wouldve sent it back too.

Personally i don't see anythign wrong with giving kids a lot of nice stuff as long as you make it clear that they aren't automatically entitled to it. I saw an ep a few days ago where there were two birthday girls, and they were cheery and polite the whole time, plus were pretty grateful for the party except for one brief moment when d4l went on without them. But i mean how can you not be pissed about missing laffy taffy

LOL....every time that I see that show, the girls are TERRIBLE! They are mean to other kids and their parents and are completely ungrateful. I would probably be happy for the kids if they were nice or even sincerely thanked their parents for the party.
