Singling out "1" type of people isn't the best way to go about things. Allowing this will only create hate and for people to divide. It's easy for non-hispanic's to join up because it don't effect them. Like me, I'd get upset if I got pulled over once a day and was asked to show proof. I think it's bullshit. it comes down to this. these illegals are just that. illegal. they have no rights in this country. they do not deserve gov aid, not even a cent. and they dont deserve financial gain in this country without paying the same taxes we do. 5 bucks an hour isnt that bad when you pay nothing on that money and all your bills are paid for by the gov. arizona is simply enforcing the laws that were set by our gov. this isnt a free for all. if arizona wants to be able to ask people for papers then so be it. if you dont like it then gtfo..

the law to be able to drink in this country is 21. so should anyone over 21 be pissed that they have to show their id to prove they are 21. is this discrimination? its a simple thing but its not that much different. if you are living in a area where there are tons of illegals, you should know that you are gonna have to be able to prove you are legit. because we need to get the illegals out.

LOL @ "it's not about race". There's only one race that will be affected by this law. What is the police procedure for "suspecting" that someone is in the country illegally? All Hispanic immigrants are required to carry proof that they are here legally. What happens when cops arrest legal citizens for "suspicion" and takes them to jail? What if they are Hispanics that were born here and the cops take them to jail over their "suspicion". Now, how do we handle white people who are in the country illegally? Oh, that's right, we don't worry about them.

The country entered a recession and Rush Limbaugh, Hannity, Beck etc. needed to blame someone other than white men. Therefore suddenly "illegals" jumped to the top of the list of problems. It's such a joke. The impact caused by "illegal Hispanics" is minimal compared to problems like the US dollar going down the toilet, the war in Iraq, and the war in Afghanistan.

If you had dark skin you would understand how degrading this law is. Nangiggles had better carry her papers if she ever goes to AZ or risk going to jail.

Something tells me you're not seeing the big picture. Not that illegal Hispanics are worse than any other illegals. The thing is though they make up the vast majority. Ask anyone in the southwest who is causing the most social disruption in their neighborhoods. I can't blame them for wanting to leave their poor country, but their way of life simply doesn't mesh with American society as it should be. They have to assimilate and play by our rules but often instead just piss all over them. Same goes for citizens. The thing is that now even illegals are somehow acquiring "rights" in this country that have a negative impact on hard working, tax paying citizens and who in their right mind would want to put up with that.

its against the law for you to be stopped soley on the color of your skin. thats not what the law states. it says if you commit a crime and are stopped by the police they can also look into if you are legal. there arent going to be checkpoints and shit.

There is a hole in the law. They can stop people and make up they stopped me cause I was speeding, even if I didn't. With a statement like that it cover's up any hidden agenda. If you get stopped and you did a serious crime like a DUI then they should be checked for citzenship. Check the misfits and criminals not the good ones just to give them a hardtime. This is why this law is open to an endless debate.
