Ok, this article made me cry for many reasons. But thought I would share it with you all.

I was published in Jan/Feb edition of Atlanta Sports & Fitness Magazine.

I am actually picking with you......that is an awesome acomplishment and I wouldn't want to take anything away from that.

Good job. Did getting your teeth taken out make it easier to eat less?

I kid, I kid. That's really great work. You should be proud of yourself.

Heyyyyy, that says you weigh 131!!!
You said 160 something didn't you???

Either way girl, you look awesome....I know I have told you that before but we all could use compliments from time to time!!
You have inspired me :)

I can't read it. Once I click on it and it opens it gets smaller for some reason.
Either way. Congratulations. You have come a long way. To think you raised a daughter during the transformation too makes it all the more impressive!

Ur starting to lose my vote of confidence.

You think the magazine called me yesterday, wrote the article, published it, and put it out over night?

They interviewed me last year. Editors typically pre-plan for the big January "lose weight feel great" editions. The avi pic was taken 2 weeks ago.

no no, that is so not what I meant to do...remember how I told you I have been gaining since I started, you made me feel better because I thought it was from the gain of muscle.
You have EVERY right to be proud. It is tough work, I fight with it everyday myself and come here to be inspire by people like you!! :bigkiss:

ok, ok...i like you again.

thanks...and insert my cheesiest moment yet...if i can inspire just one person from what i've done and continue doing....then i'll die a happy chic.

I had a great deal of consistent negativity going through that transformation in my personal life. But, no matter how I felt or where I was at I ALWAYS received the most positive and encouraging words on here. Kept me coming back for more. Now I can't get away from the damn site.

I was wiping tears from my eyes while I was reading it. I was so happy with how well they portrayed Braylan being my motivation and continual support.

I love that little girl.

.....even though she use to laugh when her hand got stuck in my gut. :worried:

yeah but think of it this way...now when she touches your, what used to be gut, she feels a brick! ;)

You should have mentioned EF. I am sure George would have been delighted ;)

habitualhealth said:
I did actually. That's the "online community" they were referring to. Not sure why they didn't publish it.

I dunno...maybe legal reasons. I am sure they'd have to have approval from EF.

I never thought I would gain weight, I was skinny my whole life and then I turned 30.....Even after having my son I seemed to go right back in a matter of months. After the big 30, I started to gain a few here and there and go up to *cough* 145 on a 5'3 frame!! Keep in mind that I never got over 120 ever before. I had lost alot of the weight and found myself at a stand still the last 2 years at 136...Joined the local gym last year and was told about this site.
I have learned a ton of info that I just had no clue about. I mean really eating about 6 times a day.....I always would just eat less a day!!! I had been getting discouraged, ask feisty, sure she is sick of hearing it - because I started to actually gain weight and felt aweful.
Strange though in this past week I do FEEL different, better actually. Have gotten back down, now to 135 but feel like I have actually even lost more!
I have that old school thinking with the scale - so I measured everything the other day and gonna see if gym can measure my bf% tonight. I like to see results in black and white so to speak.
When I started this journey, I thought it was gonna be so much easier. I know that I can't just diet...I have to change into a new life, a new way of thinking and effers have totally opened my eyes and inspire me every day. To here of others going through the same struggles helps, you don't feel so alone anymore.

Atlanta Sports and Fitness Magazine is owned by Jezebel Magazine. I was selected to interview for Jezebel's 50 most beautiful people of atlanta edition that comes out every November. When I interviewed with the editor/owners I told them the timeline of events which led to where I was today. They (all 3) looked at each other with excitement and said "You've GOT to give us your story for January". Downhill from there. Sure, Jezebel is a much bigger known name...but there's always next year for that. I'd rather motivate and inspire a few people if I can. :)

They called and continued the interview process for 2 months gathering information, etc. Came out and met with me and Braylan, took pics of she and I working out together. They really put alot of time into getting the story. (btw...mini me runs on the treadmill next to me, does push ups and situps, has her lil pink 1lb dumbbells she gets busy with) I guess to see my 5yro doing that passionately is all the reward I need.

awww!
I have got my son going to the gym with me and he loves it....hope it sticks. I wouldn't want him waiting till his is older (like me) to get into it. It is so much harder then.
Keep us updated :)

Get in line, are you serious? I don't know hat you guy's see in her, but personally, i don't think she is all that great looking. Congrats on the transformation though. Bam

First of all the work and accomplishment you have done is inspirational,

Secondly, and just as important.

You look fantastic, you look like Miss America, and you are beautiful.

Your body is alright, but that will fade. Your face reminds me of a dog, I cant figure out which breed as it annoys too much to concentrate on, but definite canine features there.
And a shitty personality to boot. I see you as a frustrated person with a huge stretched out vagina

For some reason, I imagine a discovery channel episode of watching people gear up with ropes and helmets equipped with flashlights as they prepare to rapel into your chasm while they discuss how they managed to summit your nose and compare it to their Mt Everest expedition

i'm glad i'm not insecure anymore....you'd be the type of guy i'd avoid like the plague.

Duh..you didn't even credit me for the change in hair color....your old skunked out look was played out like a Paula Dean chicken wing.

i didn't realize this was a poll on "ur opinion of my next plastic surgery venture."
