Cheap,High Protein Sources that dont require cooking?

Hey everyone!! Ive been getting a little bored with tuna, and after finishing the 16 cans I bought Im looking to switch it up with another protein source, preferrably one that is already ready to eat and can allow me to supplement atleast 80 extra grams of protein into my diet easily. Something fairly cheap and that I can buy in bulk since Ill be eating it everyday. Preferrably some type of meat. Ive heard canned chicken is a good source, but not sure its sold in bulk. I also though cold cuts might be good, but the amount to eat for 80 grams might be quite a bit to take in ontop of everything else. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

Hey Beast-

As far as I've found whey is my cheapest protein....but on speaking of "real" food

I just buy LBS of red meat......like hamburger meat.....

sometimes you can find it nice and cheap for 92/8 or whatever.......

but if not...i just buy the next closest.....cheapest thing to it.

I mean if I buy some H-burger that is like 80/20 or something I will grill the shit out of it on the foremen for a while to soak that shit out.

After this...............I will just eat a full plate of meat mixed w/ ketchup and mustard.

Or I will use it for my carb meal and but a 1/2 lb on 2 peice of whole wheat bread w/ ketchup and mustard.

good stuff.

edit: sorry I just realized you said without cooking... hehe

um....but a foremen grilll and you won't consider it cooking !

ThanX brother!! I have a foreman grill myself. I love that thing. I used to cook on it all the time some years ago. Grilled cheese sandwhiches, chicken, burgers, steak, and occasionally hot dogs! I may just pick up some hamburger meat like you suggested or get something I dont have to cook at all. haha I have zero patience sometimes. Beef jerky is too expensive. About 7 dollars for 80 grams of protein. Canned chicken is a possibility. Ill eat anything that doesnt need cooking. If that fails Ill go back to hamburger meat or chicken again. ThanX brother!

I used to have canned chicken, the pretty big ones, and it had something like 45-50g protein.

How about hard boiled eggs? There is a small amount of preparation but after you cook up 3, or so dozen and peel them, you've got a great protein source for a few days. I eat about 8-10 hardboiled whites per day. It's a good change up from drinking shakes all the time.

And plus, 7.5dozen at my wholesale club is only $6.

bro, buy cheap sloppy ground beef or chuck. cook on stove. drain/strain until nothin else is left. if you cant get 80g out of that you suck. more than normal.

Yo WB!!

Costco near me has canned chix in bulk -- I think 6-8 cans wrapped together but I forget the price. They have a 2 pack of Extra Large Eggs 18 count for $4.49 and a cooked rotisserie chicken for $4.99, whole.

ThanX brother!! Eggs usually mess with my digestion pretty bad. Doesnt help that I have a digestive condition either. Looking more for meat. ThanX again!

ThanX Jen!! Im going to look into that canned chicken for sure. Sounds like that what be a good alternative, and exactly what Im looking for. Something I dont have to cook, prefferably meat. Those eggs must be huge, cuz I beleive they have 12-18 eggs for 99 cents over at the store I go to. I often get the whole chickens at the grocery store, but that only provides one meal. ThanX again!!

thats tough if you dont want to cook anything, canned chicken is one option, cooking is your other option

turkey cold cuts wrapped in slices of cheese... also a keto favorite :)

Add a pickle slice & some mustard & that is some tasty stuff!!

Yum!!!!!!!

My personal high-protein favs right now are Part-skim ricotta cheese, lf cottage cheese, trader joe's natural peanut butter, and sliced deli turkey. All quick and easy with no cooking, and will easily provide you with those extra 80g of protein each day.

bro, you can make some serious crazy good food by straining/draining cheap beef with warm water until its down to just nothing. it will make your sink nasty though.

Nice!! Cooking isnt a skill of mine however. Id have to learn that shit. Ill cook macaroni and cheese, raviolis and TV dinners but thats about it.

Since you are looking for a change, I though I should let you know that canned chicken tastes a whole lot like tuna. In guess it is the can or something. But I have made them both with mayo and they taste very very similar.
