I'm doing the starting strength program by rippitoe. I only have access to weighs every third day so here is my workout routine for a week.

monday - elliptical trainer early am 30 minutes and an afternoon workout a - squats, bench, and deads.
tuesday - nothing or stretch
wednesday - elliptical trainer for 30 minutes.
thursday - elliptical trainer early am 30 minutes and an afternoon workout b - squats, overhead press and clean and jerk.
friday - nothing or stretch.
saturday - elliptical trainer for 30 minutes.
Sunday - elliptical trainer early am 30 minutes and an afternoon workout a - squats, bench, and deads.

rinse and repeat.

I want to make sure I'm not hitting the legs too much. I've been doing this routine for 2 weeks now and don't feel at all overtrained or that any aspect of this schedule is being cheated but it may be too early to tell. I'm really tired of all the gym crap, machines and isolation stuff and I'm trying to get back to the core basics of lifting.

Any help is appreciated!

Really it depends on individual conditioning.

If you don't feel overtrained or that it's adversely affecting your numbers then you're good. If it starts to drag but you want to do that much cardio regardless, just occaisionally de-load until you're up to speed.
