Can You Take Nolvadex for Too Long?

I was wondering recently if there could be a problem with taking Nolvadex during PCT for too long a period of time, say 2 or 3 months continually after last injection (at normal PCT dosages of 20 -40 mg/ED)?

Im not sure..but i believe some have taken it for that long...why would you want to stretch it out for 3 months?

More of a curiosity than anything, however, one thing that triggered the question is I noticed some estrogen like effects a few days ago (no nips, mainly rapid fat deposits that reared its ugly head a few days after stopping the nolva) after concluding my pct about a week ago. I took nolva (only) for 5 weeks then stopped about a week ago.

I was wondering if maybe I didn't take nolva long enough, and if I started it up again, it might help with those effects. Then I wondered, wow, how long can you take nolva, if there is a limit?

I know guys that have taken it much longer, they claimed it was for keeping lipids in shape more then estrogen effects.

Well women who've had breast cancer stay on nolva for years, there's no big safety issues I'm aware of in that respect. And nolva does act as a weak estrogen in the liver, which helps with cholesterol, which is why I always take 20mg/day of nolva whenever I'm taking oral drugs.

True, but also it is a known fact, done with plenty of studies that Nolvadex lowers IGF-1 levels. I try to stay off of nolvadex unless I am on IGF-1 now just for that reason.

True, but it doesn't lower them enough in my case to counteract the good it does for my lipids. I still grow, and my arteries stay cleaner :) Plus I use tren alot, which increases IGF levels on it's own as well I believe, so they even out.

i have to look it up in my notes but I do remember that it is not recommended to run nolvadex for extended periods of time. I'll try and find it, hopefully someone else who knows the correct answer to this can chime in to save me the trouble, but I will look for it.

Well like I have said before, I know people who are constantly on it, and swear by it, even off cycle to keep estrogen lower. Myself, I wouldn't call this a good idea, and I dont know where the line would be drawn between good effects and bad effects. personally run it when and if you have to, I ONLY take it during cycle if my nips get touchy, and then pct, otherwise I dont do it. those that do it all year round seem to have no issues, but the day may come soon when we find out the drawbacks of taking that shit too much.
