I'd just like to get a consensus of where is the coolest place in canada to live? I might be moving there in the next 2-3 years......or sooner if my business doesn't pan out. I'm a rural boy....I've done big cities....but I'm 30 now and over it......so a big bar/club scene isn't terribly relevant. I would like to be within driving distance of some major city where there's culture. I do enjoy seeing and experiencing various cultures.......mostly for the food though....;-) A decent bodybuilding/plifting scene wouldn't be bad either.......where's all the buff girls in canada??...... :qt: I do like isolation though......mountains, streams, forests......not a whole lot of people....if any........ok there's my criteria.....

I'm not Canadian, but I do like Calgary. It's like a smaller version of Denver which is where I live now.

Cheers,
Scotsman

Toronto or Montreal (the anglo side of course)
I hear Vancouver's really nice, except for the addicts
If you want to be close to mountains etc go to BC (Van or Victoria) for sure

how hard is it to get canadian citizenship??

Toronto is nice.

Montreal by far. Lots of things to do and it's basically a mix of euro and american flavor/culture. Toronto is boring. The nightlife sucks compared to Montreal. Not even in the same league.

As long as you stay away from some areas you're ok. But that's not an issue in Downtown Mtl.

yay, nightlife, poinsening your body so you can dance retarted, touch random people, then wake up the next morning not knowing what you did, and hating the body you live in.

Agreed. Toronto is huge and dull (sorry QT). Montreal has so many cultural aspects. And yes if you are young, the club scene is amazing!
We also have the biggest Jazz and Comedy fests in North America, Grand Prix...shall I go on? OH yeah and I live here! Can't get better than that ;-)

Read his post people. He said he doesn't want to live in the city.

true, then you want to live in Hudson (40 mins from downtown Montreal), Beautiful place, all English people and close to the Ontario border.

ppffftt. I must strenuously disagree. However, this is largely subjective depending on ones taste.

Granted. Hope you didn't hurt yourself.
So, your choice would be....?

The most diverse choice is far and away Toronto so since I don't go for the standard blond white chick, Toronto it is.

A few weeks ago.

Toronto is the most ethnically diverse city in the world. Thus, Toronto has the widest range of choices.
