you dont HAVE to get your protein from shakes. just eat food that is high in protein and alot of it. shakes are just to help

yes you can, if fact, alot of poeple dont even use protien shakes when thier bulking, just after their workout and for cutting. protien shakes are just an easy way to get protien. eat lots of meat and calories and youll be good.

personally I think it's possible. I was about in my 5th week of my cycle and I was getting sick of the shakes because it was upsetting my stomach. I just tried to eat more. I work at Mcd's so it's great.. more fatting food, I ate at least 2 times if not 3 times a day. Not heavy meals.. just burgers.

I tried to get the same amount of protien without the shakes but it's hard. I love tuna so I eat that stuff like crazy, I just pretty much eat whatever I can get my hands on. I got myself a gut, but that's when the cutting cycle takes place next.

Try Liquid Aminos. You can get them at any GNC or discount Vitamin store. It gives you 15g of Protein per tablespoon. Add it to water, and you get a huge dose of protien and amino acids.

Doesn't taste great, but you'll get used to it in a couple of days.

I whole heartedly think that whole food should be ALL that's used while bulking. Whole food is far more efficient for building muscle. The only time a shake should be utilized is imediately following training. Poweders are absorbed very rapidly. Following training it's a good idea to get amino acids into the blood stream as quickly as possible to fully recover the muslces. At other times powders(whey) will not be used as efficiently to repair muscle. Whole foods just work better.

I eat a container of cottage cheese everynight before bed. It has 48grams of protein. Other than that, I actually think it's easier to get more protein from natural foods, especially chicken.

shakes should be use when you can't get enough protein from food...

like at work..... it's easier for me to pack a couple of shakes with my lunch then it is to pack half a cow.....

but food is always better....... nothing like the real thing
