bruising with sub-q injection

i took my third hit of hcg today and immediately had a knot and redness around the injection site. then, about 3hrs later i noticed a pretty good bruise there. i didn't have discomfort or bruising with the last two injections.

is that somewhat normal?

its actually fairly common. probably 10% of your sub Q injections will have something like that happen.

your body has its own mechanisms to deal with having a piece of metal and foreign substance stuck inside it. remember that.

Are you injecting correctly and deep enough ( run a google on sub q injects for 'how to's)

thanks again for the responses. i pinned straight in as deep as the needle allows. i don't have much fat so i probably should've pinned at a 45deg angle. lesson learned!
