Boom Town

This little town I live in has to be the hottest place in the USA right now.

It is just a small place but restaurants are packed, housing prices are soaring and everyone seems to be adding change to their bank account.

I am certain it has close to the lowest unemployment in the Country (close to 4%) and probably the highest wealth/capita in the country.

Not enough laborers - Hispanic population is soaring to fill the gap. Entry level truck drivers are making $70k/year.

If anyone is stuck in a rut and don't mind living in the desert, I would highly recommend a move this direction.

This would apply for cooks, Dr.s and financial gurus or anything between.

I'm happy that Atlanta is in a period of retraction. Too many people flooding in (2.5m in the last 15 years) and housing prices blowing up beyond all reason. Boom periods seem great, but the end result is often some degradation of those same qualities that attracted people and business in the first place.
