When I was on cycle I could do 20 with a 45lb plate strapped to me.

With the plate I'd do one set of 20 then rest, one set of 15, rest, and then grip really wide and shoot for 20 with no weight.

I'm off cycle now and I did 3 sets of 10 with +45lbs, I weighed in at 224 today so that's nearly 270lb chinup x 30!

Seeing as this is about BODYWEIGHT chins, I believe that if I was going for high reps and I had a few weeks to get into the higher reps then I would be off of the scale: 30+ maybe.

P.S. the word record is 170 chins without wrist wraps.

Set by oriental American, not a professional athlete.

i wonder how much he weighed.. 130lbs..
and the rules.. what was considered a full pull up..

now, this is all the way down and all the way up right? full movement? I can do about 15..maybe 18 with own bodyweight..

about the 5x5 program..what sorta pullup are recomended? reverse grip? I have never done weighted pullups, but I guess i gotta do them now.

Thanks.

did them, and i used 25 for the first two sets, then 30 for the second, then 35 for the last..I did closer grip and went full motion..I love the weighted pullups, never again will I want to do 15-18...
