bobcat or mountian lion

my aunt caught this camping a few nights ago out on her land in missouri. i say it's a mountain lion.

If it is a mountain lion then your aunt needs to contact the local natural society or something because they aren't supposed to be in Missouri, like I said, look at the ranges:

That map is a lil off...Mt. lions go farther east in CO.

and into MO... or maybe the local conservation agents from where I grew up are just crazy? :confused:

I just looked at that map, and there's no reason their population should just stop at the MO line, their range covers the ozark mountains in AR but for some reason according to that map they cant cross into MO, even though it's the same mountains?
 
I know that cougars have been spotted in Eastern Ky in the 60's and 70's too, but I don't think they have since then, but I'm not sure. They aren't supposed to be in Kentucky at all.

We do have bobcats and wild dogs, though.
 
How do yall know which one Missouri is.... are you smarter than a 5th grader or what! Lets see TX, then AR, what's on the other side of that....
