blood preasure machines at drug stores?

U guys trust the machines at the drugstores? It said that they are for arms in a range of 9-13 inches. I'm rocking 18's but can get my arm in it still? How far off you think the readings are?

No bro it will measure way off. You will need a bigger cuff, at least that has been my experience.

right from wal mart or local drug store you can buy the bp home machine for about 40-50 bucks then the big cuff is about 15-25 more.. and fairly accurate... then you can take it whenever you want.. the ones in stores are off most the time, some are not too bad though..

buy the digital WRIST BP machines. no arm size issue and very accurate (same price about)

My ex is a nurse and I was hanging out with her and my daughter. I to have 18 inch arms and I took it and she said that it wouldn't be accurate cuz its too small. My blood pressure rated moderately high and she said it would be lower when using a proper cuff. So no don't trust them.

I've been looking and even wal-mart didn't have a big enough cuff. I think even the XL only goes to 18-19 and anything above that you need XXL cuff which is even harder to find. My doctor said a medical supply store would be a good place to look.
