I get a shooting pain in my left bicep whenever I do bicep exercises. The pain starts in the front/inside of my upper arm near the shoulder and runs like a wire sending electric shock down my bicep. It is worst at the bottom/starting position of curling exercises. Barbell curls are worse than EZ bar curls, but any stress on the arm hurts. I can even feel it lifting a book or a mug.
Has anyone had a similar problem? Is it a muscle tear? a stress fracture? bicep tendonitis?
How did you treat it? How long did it take to heal?
I have an appointment with an ortho tomorrow, but it would be helpful to go in with as much information as possible.
