Best place to see snow in December?

Erie, PA or Buffalo to Rochester, NY. Any place on the eastern shore of a Great Lake. "Lake Effect" snows are monsters.

Try some of the Vermont Ski Resorts for really pretty views.

Rent snowmachines, awesome countryside super low population...pefect for a winter getaway.

Gambino's right, go up north MN, Wis. or Mich. and you're guarenteed snow. Def. rent some snowmobiles, go skiing, and go bust your asses ice skating. Man I miss the snow.

Ahhh Gambino you are wise, but snowfall in my native land has been pretty scarce the last few years....lucky if it gets 300" in a given year lately.
I remember winters when opening the front door was a challenge in itself, let alone getting a car out of the garage. I've seen plows get stuck if that's any indication. Damn, winters were fun U.P. there....
