Best Martial Arts ?

Which ever one suits you the best. Everyone is different and there isn't one that's the best. Check out a few and see which one you like.

Certain styles emphasize certain movements and techniques, such as power, high, low, punch and kicks. If your bodt type does not mate up, you'll always be behind.

That said, I found the next most important factor was the Master/Instructor.

For me, Tang Soo Do matched my body and Master Boliard in Canton, Michiagn was the best.

I have trained in tae kwon do, ishin ryu karate and now muay thai and Brazilian ju jitsu. Everyone above is correct. Find what matches your body type and stick with it. I really prefer BJJ and submission wrestling, but as I get older, I really feel it a lot more lately. It is taking longer to heal from each training session.

try out karate, aikido, and jujutsu see what you like best.
if you hate them all then TaiChiChuan is for you.

I tried karate, TKD, tai-chi and jujutsu---- an hour of break falls gives me a week of head aches :)

i have been practicing since 1977 ( saw breaker breaker, chuck norris and enter the dragon, bruce lee and i had to have it!) have studied numerous styles but settled on tai karate: kempo-aikido. not very pretty or good for tournaments but real world effective as hell.

LOL...what if you didn't have a gun?!

The best martial arts for street fights is muay-tai. It is the most effective in any situation. Boxing can work too, if you're a striker.
